Create a lifestyle you can live with
May 21st, 2013Happy Tuesday! This week is buzzing by already!
I know as well as I do that eating healthy and clean is a lifestyle shift, no diets, no fads, just healthy, clean eats, on a regular.
When I found this image from someone I admire in the industry, the gorgeous Kimberley Snyder I fell in love with how simple it was to share this new possibility of a new lifestyle with the masses!
I know I’m preaching to the choir with you, you’re a rockstar and already know this and know the importance of your own health, but I feel we need to step up more and share it with others!
No one can ever be 100% perfect on green veg all day, so as the image says, “you decide what counts as a cheat meal” for me, it’s a carb like gluten free pizza….or maybe Pinkberry :/. But I enjoy it when it comes around! When you’re ok with it once a week, you feel better!
My mission is to help others see that healthy options are just as tasty and wayyyyy better for you than Doritos! We can really pull together and help a lot of peeps, can’t we?

A Course In Miracles
May 20th, 2013Happy Monday!! It’s actually a long weekend here and I love that! So today’s post is going to be zippy as I’m on my way to the gym and then to Starbucks!
You know I’ve been learning from a course in miracles, right? Well up until the weekend the books have been sold out here so I was studying it on a PDF version (crazy, I know!) so finally I found a store that had some in stock, I drove my booty there and got my book!
Ahhhh it feels amazing to have it in my hands!
While at Banyan Books I found some friends that were pretty happy! It’s so freaking awesome, this store is so woo woo, it’s makes me feel good being there!
Nothing beats the energy that you feel in this store full of Buddhas, Crystals and books
Over the weekend I also made “throw it in the bowl” fudge.
I don’t have a recipe! Yikes! Ihave to retrace my steps here so I can give you a recipe as I made without thinking, in my food daze as I usually do
I’ll make more today and see how it turns out!
Darn. I must make more tasty fudge, for you

Protein Reese’s Bars
May 17th, 2013Happy Friday!!!
I am so excited Friday is here!
Last night I fell in love…I’m seriously a freak for Tony Stark. Aka Ironman.
While Ryan and I were at the beach yesterday, we decided it would be awesome to see Ironman 3.
(what a gorgeous beach day, huh??)
So I raced home, worked more and hit the gym!
Ahhhh I had to look fabulous for Tony
The movie was amazing and super entertaining! Maybe I loved the movie so much because I loaded up my snacks with me?!
I saw a thin mint recipe on The Fitnessista the other day and couldn’t wait to try it….I just didn’t have mint :/
So mine turned into protein Reese’s peanut butter bars!
I didn’t everything the same as this recipe I just used Vi Shape Shake Mix, honey instead of maple syrup, and no mint!
Omg! Happy Friday, these are amazing!!!!! I’m making more today
I’m rolling into this weekend with some awesome sweetness!

Buddha Be Up In My Home
May 15th, 2013So yesterday I talked about miracles, and I’m getting all spiritual on you…well it’s not over. It was fitting yesterday with my miracle high to bring in another piece of…..peace?!
Hudson is never quite sure of things that are the same size as him, or larger…so a lot of sniffing was involved
I think this Buddha adds a nice energy and calmness to our home. Very chill.
I did make it to the gym yesterday, I can assure you I did not just shop for Buddhas, I did get work and workouts done
i want to keep you updated on my LiveFit Challenge! I’m on week 3 now of Phase 1 again, I feel good, but have been slacking a bit due to my cold / sniffles…it’s not good for my workout zone!
Last night was back and biceps and I live this session! Today is chest and tris…love the Tri’s hate the chest part, but I will do it later after my morning appointments, I promise!
How are your workouts going? What have you been doing?
Ohhhh and plain Greek yogurt made it into my fridge again. I’m doing everything in my power to not eat it multiple times a day! Lord help me!!! Maybe Buddha will??

Miracles arise from a mind that is ready for them…
May 14th, 2013Good Morning!
I hope you are having a great day! I am feeling a bit better over. My natural remedies seem to be healing my snotty mess asap, it’s awesome! The body is an amazing thing, isn’t it?
Speaking of amazing, I’ve been mind deep in A Course Of Miracles and it’s blowing my mind…..I believe so much in miracles and that we are creators of our life, full of the same powers and ability to create as the universe. When you sit back and really think about how trippy it is, it really starts to make sense!
I read something yesterday in the book that I thought I’d touch on today in our chat – “Miracles arise from a mind that is ready for them”
I don’t know about you, but Miracles are always all around me. I’m pretty good at having my miracle eyes and radar out even in a crappy situation, but I get so many people just thinking I’m “lucky” and nothing ever happens to them. You know those people?
Well, if you’re not receiving miracles, something is wrong. You and I both are designed to be receiving them daily, like a little care package from our homegirl, the universe to go and learn, grow and better our love and life!
So what does it mean by “a mind that is ready for them”? I believe that we have to be in a state of love, gratitude and forgiveness for you and I to receive miracles. I know, trust me, there are days I am struggling with this, we are human and it does take a lot of practice. One thing I’ve been finding that helps me is a quick 10 minute meditation each day, as it centers me and allows the other stress or anger to calm right down…or sometimes if I crank out my weights I’m back in a place of love and happiness. Something about the gym gets me back on track.
What I think you should do if you haven’t been seeing the miracles lately is sit quietly and connect, ASK what you need to do! You will always get the answer. Then focus on one are for the rest of the day, it might be that you are focused on feeling Love all day, or maybe Gratitude, but the trick is to always be forgiving and that will in return bring you the love you need to open up and see the miracles, because honey, they are THERE!
A lot of times we are so held back from our flow because of fear, don’t let fear slow you down. Replace fear with forgiveness {yes, again hard at times!} and enjoy! I’m on a week straight of doing this and it’s been awesome, I invite you to join on my “replace fear with forgiveness” party

Sniffles, Pancakes and Dates
May 13th, 2013Happy Monday!
I’m still snuggled in bed. I have a bit of a cold I’m shaking off. I tell ya, I want to get healthy very fast so I can get back in the gym and rock out my LiveFit Challenge!
Maybe I can lift some weights today….I’m feeling better after my natural remedies yesterday
So let me recap the weekend! Ryan and I had date night Saturday!
We went to see Ironman 3 and it was sold out. A dude asked me to watch a demo of his tablet thingy in the theater, I said yes, walked out with 2 free movie tickets and no movie to see….we’ll go back to watch it maybe tonight!
What do you do when a movie is sold out?! You drive to get a sugar fix on!
We had the chocolate works on this bad boy and I can tell you it did not help my throat…. But it tasted like heaven
Sunday was moms day!! Gluten Free Pancake Brunch, Mimosas, Coffee and relaxing!
Last night I had a calling as I chilled out to meditate. I was deep in flow for probably 15 minutes and I was guided to open up A Course In Miracles to start studying again, so I did and things hit me that I never soaked up before. I love being guided to what exactly I need at that time….. Now I just need to shake this cold! Mmmmm shake, I think it’s breakfast time!

Chocolate Peanut Coconut Ribbon Clusters
May 10th, 2013Happy Treat Friday!!
I hope you’re having a great morning! I am fueling up and getting ready for a gym session, shoulders be calling my name and I love shoulder workouts! So bring it!
Yesterday was my least favorite weight session. Legs. Blah.
But they must get worked and in Phase 1 of LiveFit, legs is just once a week…Phase 2 on, it’s twice. Oh the joy
So you know we’re getting ready for summer, watching our eats and watching how many treats pass these lips….today I bring you a simple, satisfying, “ok on your bikini challenge” treat.
Chocolate Peanut Coconut Ribbon Clusters!
I swear I bring you boring treats, no carrot cakes, molten chocolate things, I always bring you a frozen 3 ingredient blob that I call a treat….but these are good! If I make a cake, I eat it ALL. I make a cluster, I eat one
Most times.
Chocolate Peanut Coconut Ribbon Clusters
3 squares dark chocolate (endangered species 72% dark)
1 tbsp peanut butter
3 tbsp coconut ribbons
Melt chocolate and peanut butter, stir in the coconut and drop into clusters. Freeze and enjoy!
I did eat one on the patio as I worked in the sun yesterday…guilty as charged.

Be Better Today
May 8th, 2013Yesterday I got up to some pretty important activities….
Kombucha at Whole Foods with my love.
(give me my greens baby!)
Coffee at Starbucks with my mom….no pic :/
Made a batch of granola bars for clean snacking as I worked.
I’ve shot a video for my new business brand that is awesome and is my free optin gift….gotta love the awkwardness of videos sometimes, huh?
I also crushed the gym – back and biceps!

The only person we should try to be better than is the person we were yesterday! I shouldn’t care if that gal has more success than me, a larger Bicep than I do (you know I’m working on it) or has nicer things, I should just be focused on ME and being better than I was yesterday!
“how can I be better than yesterday?!”
Step up and do one more rep at the gym, 1 more minute of running, replacing one more meal with a clean healthy one….5 more minutes building your business….10 more minutes in gratitude and journaling. Just do a little bit more today.
For me, being better today is about my self love and love to others. I will shine more of it today, listen to my heart and step up a bit more!

LiveFit Trainer Challenge!
May 7th, 2013I’m totally going out on a limb here with this post….just throwing it out there! Would you be interested in doing a LiveFit Challenge with me?
You know I’ve done the LiveFit Trainer Program by Jamie Eason on bodybuilding.com and love it! The structure is perfect, the workouts are amazing and the diet plan is super simple….I’m a couple days into my 3rd round of LiveFit and I’ve been asked by multiple people if we can rock it together and keep each other accountable! Pretty rad if you ask me!!
I’ve noticed a big difference in my body since starting LiveFit – 1. more definition, 2. smaller tighter booty 3. Strength!!!
4. A Bicep is finally showing!!!!
Anyways, I’d love to hear if you would like to join in with me and the others? We will use the blog, twitter, FB and instagram to keep each other accountable with eats and that we’re on top of our workouts, sweating things out and changing our bodies!
I think it will be fun and be that perfect push to a summer body!

Ocean Nights – Weekend Recap
May 6th, 2013Happy Monday!! It is sunny, warm and gorgeous here in Vancouver, I love it!!!!
The weekend was spent in a very relaxing way, buy the ocean! I am most creative and calm while by the water….Hudson loves it too!
We would usually head there after dinner to watch the sunset and have a little treat
Sunday I was up at the booty crack of dawn, 5am to get ready with Ryan as he was running the Vancouver Half…by 1 am I have had 2 coffees and was a walking zombie :/
We dropped Ryan off (when I say WE I mean myself and Hudson of course) at the start line, then I ran back to the car to find Hudson enjoying the front leather seats instead of this blanket protected back seat…so up came his pink blanket and he rolled with me up front as we booked it to the finish, across Vancouver….picking up

His fat booty sets off the seatbelt sensors, so I had to fasten his belt! No more cookies Hudsy!!
Ryan made it in at 129 and it was time for coffee number 2.
There were a couple things I realized over this fabulous weekend. One being outside of business I never push myself to achieve anything! I always say I want to, say I’d love to tackle super clean ears and a strict weight plan to look like a fitness model…but I don’t!
Something holds me back.
At my sunset beach time Sunday night I took my note book and my pen, I wrote down all my beliefs, the good and the negative. I was shocked at how I have more negative beliefs than positive, but at the same time my positive are strong and have gotten me to where I am today
The tip for this exercise is to re read them after, our brains will pick up the beliefs we want stronger than the ones not serving us when they are written down on paper. I learned this from a John Assaraf webinar and they don’t know why this is, it just is
It’s a cool exercise! Now, today I’ll re write my beliefs down so my mind goes and picks them up!
This week is going to be amazing!!
I have not gone to the gym in 3 days….doh…so it’s time to head there now!
