It Was Pandemonium

Happy Friday Everyone!

The weekend is finally here!

Last night we had an super quick dinner (black bean hummus on ezekiel bread loaded with extra veg) and then we headed for a fabulous night out.

My sister who has been attending the John Casablanca’s Fashion Merchandising course for the last year put on an amazing end of the year fashion show with her class!  All the proceeds are going to charity and they went way beyond on the Fab O’ Meter!

The show was at Heritage Hall in Vancouver, which has a very old romantic feel inside and was absolutely perfect for their Tim Burton inspired event “Pandemonium”.

We arrived around 6:30 and enjoyed some snacks and vino.  Come on, it was going to a good cause….wine is always allowed on Thursdays if it is for a good cause ;)  We mixed and mingled for a while, purchased some raffle tickets, and then sat down to enjoy the show!

The show was perfect!

Sorry for the blurry shots (the models kept moving!)

Of course I could not come empty “pursed” in the snacks area as I am always hungry, so the bag was full of banana bread….

At the end of the night they called the winner of the Big Gift Baskets and my Mom won!  She won 12 bottles of wine, and 2 nights away.  Plus a whack of other stuff.  The value was $1000!  Way to go Mom!!!  Remember me when you need to test those bottles ;)

I am so excited because Ryan and I are going to head down to the States tomorrow to hit up Trader Joe’s!  We stock up every time we head down there, so excited!

Today is going to be a full day of working, learning and groceries!

Do you do a lot of shopping at Trader Joe’s?  What is your favourite health food store to shop at?  I love my Whole Foods!

How lucky is your mom?!? That is fantastic. I love Trader Joe's but the closest one to me is about an hour away so I do not get there very often. We do have a small ma & pop healthfood store in my town which actually does a great job for us though. Have a fun road trip!

How fun – I could totally handle winning 12 bottles of wine!! :-) We don't have a TJ's anywhere near us, so all I have is my WFs. One day I will find a TJ's though! Have fun.

Wow!!! How lucky is your mother? 12 bottle of wine! Of $1000 value! What a jackpot! I love shopping at TJs, but I always need a car to get there…such a hassle since I'm a carless college student.
