A Shroomy Pile Of Goodness

Hey Everyone!
How is your Monday going for you? It is very tickety-boo over here in the casa. I honestly have spend a good part of my morning curled up on my patio chairs knee deep into New Moon. “Hi my name is Kris and I am a Twi-Hard”.
Its bad over here dolls…..very bad.
Yesterday was a nice relaxing day out. We had a few errands to run, like pick up some pooch food and a good breath bone for Hudson. UGH, seriously I wish he would just let us brush his teeth more. These bones seemed to help quite a bit, but of course not as much as I would like.
Of course there is me in the pet store reading the ingredients and fine print before I give him anything. I am the “crazy dog” owner. Only the best for this cute face!

After our day out we came home starving so I quickly made an early dinner. Marinated Portobello mushrooms, green onions and sugar peas over a salad with a bit of quac on top!

This was so simple, yet so satisfying
Marinated Portobellos:
2 large portobello mushrooms
2 sliced green onions
2 cups sugar peas
1 tbsp wheat free soy sauce
1 tsp cumin powder
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a bowl and marinate for 15 – 20 minutes.
Heat skillet over medium heat and saute for 5 -7 minutes or until the veggies are cooked to your liking.
Place over greens and enjoy!
Today has been Go, GO, Go after my reading so this afternoon as a quick snack, I decided to make myself to a “granola puddin”.

It kind of looks funky, but it is so tasty!
All I added was 2 scoops of Vega Shake & Go chocolate smoothie mix to 1 cup hemp milk and threw in a raw granola bar.
The raw granola bars have just been consisting of oats, coconut oil, a dash of maple syrup, a few chocolate chips and some chocolate shake & go smoothie. I mix all well and freeze into bars!
The smoothie powder tastes and gets thick just like pudding! And it is good for you
Weakness alert! I think I could eat this “puddin” all day long
What has been your food weakness lately?? Do you have a dog? If so, what do you do about his oral hygiene??
xxoo,

Those mushrooms sound fabulous. So hard to go wrong with portobollos though! I am a freak about reading ingredients labels for our dogs too. In fact, I make my own treats now.

My pup usually has decent breath so I just let her do her thang and when she DOES have bad breath.. I just avoid her face.
I’m kind of the crazy dog owner too because I always go over the ingredients before buying her treats and such. I mean, if I won’t eat crap then she shouldn’t have to either!
My food weakness is Oskri Coconut Bars. I pretty much eat one every.single.day. Yum.

no need to apologize for being a twi fan, in fact, dont apologize for anything about you! My roommate and I were dog sitting this weekend and she threw up (the dog) so my roommate sprayed perfume on her so she wont smell her breath!
Anyhow, I love gettin my fungus on!

The marinated mushrooms sound fabulous. My food weakness is chocolate lately. I have a small chihuahua who gets regular dog teeth cleaning bones and they seem to help.

My weakness has been Clif bars. The amount of sugar they have in them makes me a bit uneasy, but I’ll allow it if I’m having a hard workout at the gym that day!
Homemade granola/granola bars are the best! I need to make another batch asap!

My name is Kris and I’m a Twi-hard, too!
Your pup is too cute. I don’t have a dog so I wouldn’t know about bad doggy breath. I like your prtabello meal…
