Your Allergy Friendly, Healthy, Yet Sexy Valentines Day!

Happy Sunday!

Wow, has the weekend been flying by!!

So Love Day is tomorrow and what better way to spend it than with great Allergy Friendly Food, Wine and some Treats!

I know, I know, there may be some readers out there that curse this red, fluffy day and just want to burn bra’s, hit a bar or curl up with nail polish and a great Josh Duhamel dvd.  Love the Josh ;)

But the other end of the stick is the people who love the big V-Day and can’t wait to get all gussied up and hit your favourite restaurant, movie or make out session.  We don’t go hardcore with our Valentines Day and usually just stay in and eat, watch a movie, eat some more and sip tea.

We never buy each other large gifts and this year for Ryan’s gift I am making him some Gluten Free, Vegan Snickerdoodles {Snicker-Bears}.  He loves them and I love the smile that my baking puts on his face.

Who could resist these little guys??

Your Allergy Friendly, Healthy and Sexy Valentines Day!

So here’s what you are going to do. If you are staying in try putting a nice healthy meal together for your spouse, partner or best friend.

Try the Mushroom and Vegetable Quinoa Pilaf

Place a little flowers on the table, pour a little glass of wine and enjoy!

For Dessert….

Try the Chocolate Mousse

or some Frosted Malt Fudge

and some Snicker-Bears

When dinner and dessert are over, snuggle up on the couch and pop in a movie!

If you are single for this holiday, who cares?!  Invite a bunch of girl friends over and drink cocktails while you much on Spicy Avocado Dip and Brown Rice Chips while dancing to Justin Bieber!  This day is not just for couples to celebrate their love it is for everyone to celebrate love with friends, themselves, their pets, whatever means the world to you.

Friends are not your thing on V-Day?  Great!  Stay in and draw a nice bubble bath while listening to old 50′s rock, paint your toes and watch a super funny movie where you just let loose and laugh!

Valentines Day Tip:

Add 5 drops of your favourite essential oil {french vanilla…mmm} to coconut oil and give yourself a nice arm, leg and hand massage!!    Remember to get your feet as your feet carry you around this world and they are meant to be loved and pampered <3

Remember love should not just be expressed on this one day out of the year, please take Valentines Day this year as a start to a whole year of self love!

What are your plans for the big V-Day?  What is your favourite Valentines Day tradition?

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

Kris

The hubby and I never go out for valentines … we have date nights all the time … so no need to try and get reservations on the busiest night at restaurants. He does always buy me some really amazing chocolates, as well as another little gift :-)

I have never been a big valentine’s day fan, but I think I can get behind any reason to eat on some of those treats!

I completely agree about the feet… when I do my practice massages I like to pay particular attention to people’s feet to give them the pampering they truly deserve!
