Creamy Vegan Cesar Dressing

Well I woke up this morning in a tad bit of a funk and I was in no good energy to write an upbeat post for you, so I sat it out and waited until I could provide a worthy post.

I think I know what is causing my funk and I know what I need to get myself out of it, but sometimes it is so dang easy just to stay feeling low and letting yourself wallow.  Isn’t it?  In the end it doesn’t help me at all, so I work extra hard at feeling my best and really raising my vibes.

I am back and I feel great, Dolls!  If you could see me now, I am actually smiling!

My possible funk might be my lack of my joe in the mornings.  Since starting this 21 day cleanse I have omitted the beautiful coffee and replaced it with green or herbal tea, which unfortunately is not cutting it….

Yesterday when I was out at The Wellness Show I ran into my favourite boot, Suede Hills farms where they Stevia Bark Tea which I kick myself now for not picking up.  I think this might have helped my mornings during this cleanse.

I did however pick up their beautiful green stevia powder and I am so freaking excited to start baking with it.

*Stevia Baking Tip – Add the powdered stevia to one of the liquid ingredients in your recipe and let it steep for at least 20 minutes.  This will bring a more sweet and better flavour out for the baked good.  Try this in an unsweetened apple sauce next time ;)

I was in heaven yesterday swirling from booth to booth with my little media tag on and sharing my passion of I Heart Wellness and B.Belles Bakery with everyone!  I was a proud mama talking about my products and blog and people really started seeing my passion and excitement which just allowed them to flow nicely with me.

The key to networking and building relationships is letting people into your vision and passion.  When I speak about the Bakery people are so excited and want samples and want to be wholesalers to us, etc.  We built some amazing connections yesterday when out at the show.

Especially with these two hot chicks from Prana.  They offer delicious, organic and FRESH nuts and chia seeds.

Their Maple Syrup glazed Almonds rock my pants off!  Seriously, you must try them.

After all the sampling, chatting and tiredness from walking around the show, I needed to wake my cells up and rejuvenate!

This all happens on this little machine……I don’t know what its called, but it brings oxygen into your body, shakes your cellulite off and all in a small time of 20 minutes a day.  Hehe, I was having a blast!

It was dinner time when I got home and needed a quick pick me up that was packed with protein, so I made a delicious salad with spinach, tomatoes, carrots, avocado and this bad jane.  Creamy Vegan Cesar Dressing.

Creamy Vegan Cesar Dressing:

1/4 cup hemp seeds

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

2 tsp mrs. dash spicy seasoning

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 garlic clove {minced}

1/2 tsp dry mustard

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp water

To Make Creamy Vegan Cesar Dressing: Place all ingredients into a blender and blend up!

Pour over salad and toss well!

This is such a delightfully fresh and tangy dressing that has that extra protein punch your vegan body needs.

I also served my salad with some amazing sweet potato fries ;)  yes, the fries own my heart…..

What is your favourite salad topping or ingredient??

To Your Glam Life!

xxoo

Kris

Kris, I just finished that same 21 day cleanse a few days ago! Well actually I made it to day 19 and came crashing down on some truffles I was making for a work function but I kept on chugging! But I’m not sure if you are aware of Teeccino – this was my absolute lifesaver during that cleanse and now I’m hooked!! – it tastes just like coffee but is made of tea leaves and you can make it in your coffee pot just like normal! Sometimes I would have 2 cups I’m the morning if I happened upon the same funk u mentioned! You can buy it on iherb or amazon and it is awesome! I recommend the French Roast – let me know if you try it and like it! Oh and I’m glad you got out of your funk – you are such an inspiration to all of us!

Theresa, I swear I read your mind! I brought my teeccino today!!!! I have the french roast and can’t wait to get a brewin’!

I am so happy to hear you are back and chugging away at it. It isn’t pretty darn amazing when you finish :)

    have a great day!

Thanks for the tip on stevia. I think I’m finally ready to begin experimenting with it. Lately I’ve been having the oddest reaction to sugar, even maple syrup, yacon, agave. It’s sad :( and I’ve been scared to use stevia because it tastes odd, but if you can do it… I can!

I’m loving the Prana store, they have some amazing products, and well priced too.

Favorite salad topping: raisins or hard boiled eggs. It’s a toss [hehe] up

Hehe! Stevia does have an “odd” taste, doesn’t it? Kind of reminds me of aspartame……

I baked cookies yesterday with stevia and they were a no go. Back to the drawing board today! Its is very experimental right now ;) Good Luck!

Haha, yes. I keep two bowls near my plate with ketchup and sweet and hot trader joe’s mustard (which is also very good with the broccoli on the salad).

I have never attempted a salad dressing since become a vegetarian but this one is a definite must – Caesar salad used to be one of my favourites ~ its one salad that could almost be classified as a comfort food! I just bought Crazy Sexy Diet and can’t wait to get reading. 21 days seems like a long time for a cleanse, but I hope it’s going to kick me in the pants and get me back on the healthy train!

you always make me smile – so I’m happy to see you are smiling once again! <3

I love this dressing – I've made a similar caesar as it is my favorite… gotta love nutritional yeast – nobody even knew it was a vegan caesar dressing!! :D although EW I never made mine with egg …

I love to top salads with hemp seeds… sometimes I have that as my first breakfast – spinach, hemp seeds and a little lemon juice + nut. yeast… so good and energizing!
