Happy Thursday!!
How are you?? I hope you are getting some warm sunny weather where you live and it would be swell if you could pass some our way. So far Van City is a little chilly and cloudy
I am a heat gal and love the sunshine, so I’m a little upset right now with our “summer”. I decided to keep the summer mood in mind with this mornings breakfast. I kept it cool, creamy and fresh! For those of you who follow Megan over at Healthy Hoggin you know she has an amazing breakfast for her Candida Cleanse called the Choco-Cado and its divine!! Very *Milkshaky* and very smooth. I found it actually more exciting than I thought it was going to be and it really kept me full! The only change I made was I added spinach to mine to make it one lean, mean, morning cleansing machine! Perfecto
Without me really wanting to {at the time} I pushed my steelies as side for a morning to see how full the creamy smoothie would keep me going and I was more that surprised to see it kept me MORE full than my steelies!!! I got a full Plyo workout + weights in before needing a snacky poo. Glorious. I am getting ripped and thats my story
Since reading more on Candida and the build up in the body I am more and more intrigued to follow a simple Candida Cleanse to see if it makes a difference in my life. Like if once I cut fruit out JT comes walking through the door…or maybe Josh Duhamel…..then I’m on the diet for life!!! Ryan and I always have this question when we are joking with each other – If your celeb crush asked you out for dinner, would you go? Would you partner be ok with it??
We ask each other weird things, but it makes us tick
Back to food, fitness and more food!
Yesterday was an NEW day for me! I ate a new Breakfast, I ate a new Lunch {I ate GOAT CHEDDAR!!! WHAT?!} and lots of of Raw Veggies through my day
Eating the Goat Chedda was a tough thing for me to do at first, but I could feel my body really sway towards it. I did a lot of research on Goat Cheese to make sure it wasn’t like the inflaming cow’s cheese I was used to many many moons ago…
Goat Cheese is easy to digest and it is said to help with problem skin. Hello! I’m living a much more open life right now, and you know what? I kinda like it! I know in my soul that what we think about we bring about so if I go in with an open mind to my new eating “testing” everything will work smoothly. I used to be so strict with my diet and would freak if a bit of wheat touched my potato….not any more my friends, I am chill as a cucumber
Or however that saying goes!
If you follow us on Facebook, you know that I was eating 88% Dark Chocolate from Endangered Species Chocolate {HUBBA HUBBA} with a cuppa Green Tea for a very nice afternoon snack. Chocolate gives the me the perfect excuse to walk out of my office, into the kitchen so I can take a breather for a few minutes in my day…sigh!
OH! Before I go, I had my body fat tested yesterday and it said I was 19%….apparently that is good for a 5’9 and 3/4′s gal
All I care about is if my back fat is gone so I can start wearing racer back tanks this summer! And CHECK, its gone! BOOM! Thank you shakes, healthy lean meals / snacks and mega gym workouts!
I came up with a stellar trick last night….I got home late, was STARVING, so I whipped up a kale, cherry tomato and celery salad topped with cilantro and goat chedda….the trick was using Wheat Free Dijon Mustard as the dressing
No fat and mighty tasty! Hello!
What’s a “simple” trick of yours for watching the fat in your diet? Do you switch your diet up often?
To Your Glam Life,
xxoo
Kris
PS. Do you follow us on Facebook?? If not, why the heck not??

I cannot imagine that you have back boobs LOL. Anytime I think of a goat cheese I just think of the creamy stuff and forget about cheeses made from goat’s milk.

Kris, I have been a busy gal with work and have missed leaving you comments! You are hilarious…back boobs…doubt it!
I really want to try goat cheese now. Sounds tasty! You always inspire me to try new things! Since we haven’t been able to get SaviSeeds or Mum’s Banana Powder at our Whole Foods in Fort Collins, we are planning to check next time we are in Boulder-or we might make a special trip–yes, I am a foodie!! It’s only 45 mins away:)
When I eat too many nuts or too much nut butter, I start to get a small pooch around my belly button and I know it’s time to cut back a bit…it’s all about being in tuned with your body and finding what works best for you!:)
Have a wonderful day!

Yah for feeling fit and energized! I saw here avocado shake and went to make it, but my avocado had already rotted! Oh well, I’ll buy another one and give it a try. I thought that I had candida this past fall and actually did a stool and saliva test to see. Luckily it came back negative, so no candid cleanse for me
I have however, cut back my consumption of sugars and fruit over the past year. It’s hard, but with so many great-tasting stevias on the market I don’t feel like I’m missing out.
I hope that you have a great day. And, I hear ya on the lack of sunshine. Portland has been kinda gloomy this week.

Isn’t it interesting even when you cut your fruit back how much more energized you feel and how your skin shines? Interesting huh……
Stevia seems to be rocking my socks off right now!! Love it!

Um… I do drink multiple cups of it! (at least 4 cups a day… LOL)
I never worry about fat from avocados, either, since it’s naturally full of fiber and hydration. I tend to be of the mindset that if I eat enough fat, my body won’t feel the need to “store” any extra– since it’s getting a regular, steady supply!

Have you checked out Ricki at Diet Dessert and Dogs?

She’s the candida queen! Well..the queen of not having it. lol
I did the candida cleanse and found it way harder than the elimination diet. I felt light and great, but also kinda hungry.

I will try in the morning to send some heat your way… in fact, I can probably try right now. It’s so hot outside and it’s almost 11pm. I don’t think you want my weather. It’s so hot, you can’t function till late at night or super early in the morning. Ps- I’m really interested in this cleanse. You will have to let us know how it goes if you do it.
