Hey Everyone!
Wow! This week went by like a blink of an eye. I’ve been so busy with work and taking care of the oh so barky, Hudson that I haven’t had time to experiment in the kitchen like I had planned. I came up with a couple recipes that I will be sharing next week when I get a chance to spend a weekend baking instead of working!
While Kris has been away, I’ve been “dog & dig” sitting. Yup! I got my own pad for a week… it feels wonderful to wake up to a quiet condo and watch reruns of Happy Days while eating oatmeal. ahh.. the good life
Tonight, Kris comes back and I move back home, but I must say my bed is calling my name. Sleeping somewhere else does not make for a good night sleep and there wont be any of this….
As you probably know, Whole Foods is my second home. When they have new goodies, I’m all over it like white on rice. I was strolling down the snack aisle and this caught my eye! No Nuttin Granola Bars. Seriously no nuts?! I thought this was unheard of! There is nuts in everything. Things you wouldn’t even think would have nuts, have nuts! So for those with a nut allergy I feel for you! But I’ve found a bar that gives you the sweetness and the nutrition to keep you satisfied. Another amazing fact about these delightful bars is that they are local. Yes, they are made right here in beautiful British Columbia.
These puppies are gluten free, peanut free, tree nut free, dairy free and egg free! Their primarily made up of gluten free oats, and rice crisps with your choice of additives, either Apple Cinnamon, Raisin, Chocolate Chip or Double Chocolate. I highly recommend the Raisin or Chocolate Chip! For a weekend treat, I crumble one No Nuttin bar ontop of my Chocolate Oatmeal! It’s pure bliss… mmmm…
Do you have a favorite protein/snack bar? What bar brands do you swear by?
xoxo,
Michelle

I can’t believe you are allergic to nuts…that would be such a bummer!!! Glad you found a bar you like!!

p.s. if you can have sesame seeds, you should check out Go Raw bars, I think they might have one with just sesame seeds or if you might check out Bumble Bars too…I really like them as well
