Happy Wednesday!
To say the last few days have been epic is an understatement. Bumping around on my self love and personal growth journey went into over speed when I was introduced and spent the night with the Spirit Junkie herself, the gorgeous, Gabrielle Bernstein!
She is HAWT!
I first met this petite, yet larger than life woman at my girl Kate’s house. I went there to get a ride to the event and Gabby was staying with them for the time she was in town….I was a tad star struck, but adapted nicely. I saw my reflection in her and how I thought she was strong, confident and gorgeous and I could see how these characteristics is what I saw in myself deep down…even if it is hard to admit sometimes
I learned an orchard full of amazingness from Gabby’s Lecture last night…
I learned that in order to be the Happiest Person You Know, you must forgive yourself, others, your illness, your addictions, your over eating, your boyfriend, everything! What’s the good at holding resentment? This really resonated home with me. I am a sucker for digging up every nasty thing in the past to throw it in a loved ones face and I hold these deep in my pocket for just the right time to unleash my verbal beast, well….I used to do this. I have calmed in my old age
I have a lot of forgiveness to do and this is my goal from today on in my meditation is to Forgive and Release. As Gabby says “Choose Love over Fear” and the only way you can feel love is when you love yourself and the only way you can love yourself is when you have left your sh*t at the door after wiping off your boots!
Anyways, I’ll learn the tips and tricks to forgiveness in Spirit Junkie
Ohhhh Gabby, am I ever getting my spirit junkie on!!!
Since my latest days have been crazy, I have been craving both Healthy Foods like Green Smoothies in the morning, but I have also had a rawring sweet tooth! The other day Ryan and I went to a local coffee shop for some Green Tea Almond Milk Lattes and he dove into a Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar that they make there….it was HEAVEN, but not good for a gal watching her sweets.
As soon as I came home I made my own healthy Peanut Butter Coconut Bliss Bites to make up for the lack of bites at the coffee shop
These are GLORIOUS!
I had a bunch of Peanut Butter Larabars that were staring at me that I figured I could put to good use.
Peanut Butter Coconut Bliss Bites:
1/2 Peanut Butter Larabar
1/4 cup Shredded Coconut {unsweetened}
2 tbsp Peanut Butter
1/2 tsp Honey
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chunks {melted}
To Make Peanut Butter Coconut Bliss Bites: Break up the larabar into fine pieces. In a mixing bowl mix together the larabar, coconut, peanut butter and honey.
Melt the chocolate either in the microwave or over a double broiler.
Roll the mixture into 1″ thick balls and drizzle with the melted chocolate. If the mixture is not thick or sticky enough, add a bit more peanut butter.
Place the treats in the fridge until solid. About 30 minutes.
These are PERFECT for an afternoon treat
Can you tell I am OVER not having a Camera…dang Blackberry pics….jeez.
Do you try to replicate unhealthy desserts for healthier options??
To Your Glam Life,
xxoo

This spoke to me Kris…I have a bad habit of holding things in and then also throwing them in my loved ones faces when I’m angry. It’s a terrible habit and I’m trying to stop. I am also mellowing in my old age so I’m going to get there soon!
