Clear Up Pesky Skin – Get Glowing Skin {Video!}

Happy Monday, Doll!

How are ya?

Did you have a fabulous weekend or what??

The weekend over here was a lot of relaxing, eating and video shooting.  By the way, I loved all the comments on Saturday’s How I Maintain Girly Muscles Q & A Video, so many people can relate to my story and quest for lean muscles, I love it!!  If you need to catch up on the video, click here.

Like I said the weekend was relaxing over here as Ryan had a half marathon on Sunday, so we spent some QT watching movies and eating some snacks.  If you know me like I know you do, you know that’s my kinda evening.  I love snuggling up!

I ate veggies…of course!

Today I want to share with you my Skin Care Routine for my dang pesky Adult Acne.

You know that my Grain Free, Sugar Free Diet is REALLY what is helping the situation over here {not “The Situation” he is NOT here!} but I know this routine is rocking my face’s socks off.

Check out the latest video – My Skin Care Routine Update:

I hope you enjoyed these tips and if you have questions, please let me know!!

Now, I’m off to have some coffee, a wee bit of breakfast and Hit the GYM!!!  Can’t wait to share with you a smash of two workouts I’ve been loving lately!  I kinda make up my own from the fabulous people that do the workout videos.

Comment Below! What is your Skin Care Routine??

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

Your skin looks amazing!! Wowza, so many good tips. I am always a little confused by skincare routinhes because I find that the more products I use, the more I break out. I have ultra sensitive oily skin so it’s such a fine balance finding what works.

Lately I find using a gentle make-up remover, a super gentle toner, and then massaging in some coconut oil works best!

I bought the cover fx matte version (the blue) and love it under my make-up! I tried it at night and got two new pimples (uh-oh), which is either due to my skin being too sensitive or that time of the month and not eating as clean as usual. Either way, I’m going to keep trying it as I love the effect for the most part!

So you like the coconut oil on your face?? I’m scared to try, but I hear wonders about it!! You glow and I want your beautiful skin!!

I hear Cover FX has amazing products, I love their foundation in the winter, in the summer if falls off my face, but the coverage is flawless!! I’m Loving Laura Mercier right now!!

Lean muscles and clear skin?! Sign me up! I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing my adult skin-freakouts but I can’t figure out what it is. Sometimes I think it’s dairy, sometimes I think it’s stress, sometimes I think it’s a million other things! UGH! I’ve never thought about grains or sugar though!

I’m so glad the diet is really paying off – as you say, I’m sure a lot of it is the skincare routine too but if you’ve noticed that much of a difference on the diet that’s fabulous! Congrats and you look amazing!

I’m using proactiv atm and it’s working well for me. Just wash and moisturise morning and night. And yeah…don’t eat too much sugar. That really makes me break out like crazy!

You look amazing dear! The skin, the hair, the glow! I’m so happy to hear that your diet and skin care routine are helping your skin to look it’s best. I still struggle with zits most of the time. There have been rare months where I didn’t have any zits. I think it was when I was drinking a ton of green smoothies. I’m *thinking* of trying a grain free diet or shooting for 90% grain free. Being gluten-free, I don’t eat a ton of grains, but still have brown rice or oatmeal occasionally. And, corn tortillas and gluten-free pasta. OK, I guess I do eat quite a few grains regularly!
I love the videos! Have a great day!!!

Crikey -clear skin and girlie muscles? I want what you have!
I hate being nearly 40 and still having skin issues, so thanks for the tips :)
I would like to try grain free, but sometimes feel that vegan, gluten free and then grain and sugar free, I am running out of food to eat!!

Your skin looks fabulous I have to say! For me, my low sugar/dairy/grain diet keeps it mostly in check. I also take omega 3′s and try to eat as much salmon and sardines as tolerable to help with internal inflammation. I also LOVE coconut oil lately. A tiny bit goes a long way but it makes my face incredibly smooth.

So thankful for your tips!! I have the worst acne scarring and still get acne (i’m 34) and it is horrifically embarassing. Afterall, like you said we aren’t teenagers anymore. i want to be over this. I do have a sugar addiction i am trying to break so maybe that would help :) darn that yummy stuff! I have a couple questions b/c i couldn’t see the bottles very well on teh scren. The glycolic acid lotion you mentioned by BioQuorium??? or what is the spelling? Slos what is the wonderful lotion you mentioned, you showed the white tube, starts with an L but i couldn’t see it. Also The last bottle you showed – Fusions beauty ___ in yellow? What is that full name? Where have you purchased these products? Are they expensive? I am a proactive user and am always nervous to put anything new on my face – makeup or lotions or what have you b/c i breaks out SOOO easily but i would LOVE some help and would love my ugly scars to go away forever!!! Thanks

Hey Amy! I can hear ya girl!!! Its not fun, huh?? Sugar really does play a roll…so sad to say :( The glycolic acid was by BioKorium.

I use the La Roche Posay Effaclare Duo for pesky spots ;) The primer / moisturizer I use during the day is Fusion Beauty Primer in Yellow.

I got all mine in Canada {shoppers drug mart} except the BioKorium product, it was from BioKorium.com

    I hope this helps!!! xxoo

Can you tell me a little more on what you mean by “grain-free”? In one of the clips you said you were avoiding quinoa (I cant tolerate this either), but what other psudograins/carbs are problematic for you?

Hi Sarah! While I was on my acne clearing routine, I cut out every single grain, fruit {except berries} and kept my gi index sooooo low. It really works and I felt a lot better as well!! How’s it going for you??

    Sarah Reply:

It was hard to figure out what was causing the problems at first. But i’ve found that i cant really digest grains (or even quinoa/amaranth) and my blood sugar goes haywire when i go near fruit, sugars and grain-based carbs (I start to get nauseous, tingly in my arms/legs, and my eyes feel funny). But like it was noted on the site you referred, nuts seem to good only in small amounts. So im sticking to lots of greens, moderate amounts of turnip/squash/etc, fish, goat milk/cheese, olives, and occassionally chicken. Clear soups save the day and make it easy to stay hydrated. And when i am craving noodles, i opt for the asian-inspired Shirataki/Konnyaku ones. And for a treat, I have been opting for a 1/2 square of 90% lindt chocolate, which kills my cravings. It is a process that i am perfecting. So thanks for the help and ideas!
