Change Your Story Today – Be The Story Teller Of Your Future

Happy Weekend, Doll!

How are ya??

I’m snuggled up at Starbucks right now getting my creative flow on and needed to write this post for you.

{If you follow me on Twitter, you know I have this “weird” thing with me lining up my starbucks sleeve logo with the logo on my cup…who else??}

Last night I spent time with Oprah and Tony Robbins, not exactly in person, but over the screen, which was just as life changing as being there with them ;)   It is on my Personal Goals List this year to head to a LIVE Tony Robbins Event and be swimming in his greatness for the full 3 days.  Ahhhhhhh a Life Coach’s dream!!  *SWOON*

I’m a professional story teller.  So are you.

This is where we can get all hairy canary up here, what kind of stories are you caught up on?

For the longest time, well, all my life until late, I had this reoccurring story playing in my head and being spun through my lips – “I can’t follow my dreams because they will never pan out, I’m not smart enough, I’m too shy, I’m too tall, I don’t have the “look”, I’m lazy, my parents will hate it”  ETC, ETC.

These stories circulated my life and was “My Way” for 28 years of my life.

Through me diving deep into my wounds and bringing up the murky, ugly, painful and un-glam areas of my life, I had a breakthrough.   My breakthrough was I CAN embrace these painful areas and as Ann says, “Dance” in them.

As I started dancing, my world started changing, my story started to be re-written and I started dreaming like I’ve never dreamt before.  Watching the Housewives of Beverly Hills didn’t seem a far fetch for me any longer ;)   I deserve everything I put my heart into.  What started happening was I could see my wounds as beautiful learning stones, ones that I would feel, embrace and step onto then over.

What I’m telling you in this post is if you are STUCK in life, not growing or changing, you’re STUCK ON YOUR STORY!

So, fess up, What’s your story??  You don’t need to answer for the world to see here on the blog, but write it down.  Take your journal and write out what story has been en-grained in you from a young age.  This story is holding you back in all areas.

If you believe you are fearful and unworthy, guess what, every time you think “Hey!  I want to start a business!!! YAY!!!!”  Story enters and flashes – Your UNWORTHY!!  No Way!  STOP!!!

Do you feel this??  Honestly?

If so, Follow This:

Sit right now with your journal and ask “What is the Story that HOLDS me back in life?”  let everything and anything that is deep within you come up, have a box of tissue and a lot of paper, cause this will get deep if you allow it.

I encourage you to go to all areas and corners of your story and then start to Re-Write it!

Re-Write Your Story!!!

Start by seeing the Fear in the Face when it comes up and ask “How are you Serving Me?  What will it look like when I step into you?”

Then my GORGEOUS FRIEND – DO IT!

The only way you can Grow is through Change.  Change is good and you need to step through the fears to do so.

Phew.  Can you tell I get heated inside with these post??  I’m all excited here in Starbucks, EXCITED for you to Create Your LIFE!!!!!!

Comment Below! If your comfortable sharing, what is a part of your “Story”??

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

Part of my story is and always has been, “I can do it, and if anyone doubts me, I will prove them wrong!”

Great post Kris..I am definitely in the process of writing a new story and I am so excited! First things first—I am finding out what is setting me back and keeping me stuck…digging deeper and sitting with it at first…

    Have a great day!

Such a great post, (as always) Kris! I really need to step back and THINK about my story. I tend to rush through things and not savor where I’ve been and plan where I’m going!

However, I ALWAYS take a second to line up my starbucks cup and sleeve holder ;) What is that?! haha

You are SO inspiring and SO uplifting!!!

Part of my story is that I had my son at a very young age. For a short time, I thought that this put me in a different category – I thought I’d be another statistic. But NO! In fact, I’d say I’m the opposite of the young mother statistics! I’m still with my son’s father. My son is SO SO amazing – a great student, respectful, responsible, just the best. I received my Bachelor’s and am going on to grad school. I took a taboo situation and turned it into the best possible outcome for myself, my son, and our family.

Whoa – I guess I have a lot to say on this topic. As usual, you really got me thinking and reflecting! I love it.

And I think I may write a post on this now. <3
