Happy Monday, Doll!
How are ya??
Did you have a gorgeous weekend?? You know me, on Saturday I spent the morning blogging and working at Starbucks and spilling my passion of Changing Your Story to Live the Life of Your Dreams, if you missed that post, check it out here, I know it can add a spark and sizzle to your life this Monday morning.
The weekend was also full of goodies…
Let me tell you a secret…I ate a while cup of Sugar Free Gummie Bears from Whole Foods. Jeez. Is sugar free healthy for you? Ugh, probably not! But these little bears were to die for, and I loved every minute of me popping on into my mouth.
As a little girl, my nana used to take me to the “German” store which was a market that sold all German Food and I would LOVE to go so I could eat a cold European Wiener from the deli lady and get some delicious fruit juice sweetened Gummy Bears! This indulgence last night brought me back 25 years….I was in love.
This craziness all happened on Saturday evening
On Sunday….this is a whole other bunch of craziness!
I got new PENS! Hahaha, I’m a stationary whore, you all know that, so my man bought me something great….
$20 FREE Groceries also happened over here. Our local grocery store has a points system where you get X amount of points, you get $20 towards groceries! This $20 fueled our creation for Chili last night. SWOON.
I also watched the Red Carpet…Did you??
I watched, I ate, I watched and I ate.
Dinner was an amazing Chili that Ryan slaved over for an hour. It was glorious to be able to just calm down, sip tea and be lazy as someone cooked for moi.
Actually, I made the side salad…while he slaved away over the manly meal.
Easy Black Bean and Olive Chili:
1 can Black Beans
1 Zucchini {diced}
1 medium Onion {diced}

To Make Easy Black Bean and Olive Chili: In a large sauce pan heat olive oil over medium heat.
Saute the onion and zucchini until tender. Add in the tomatoes, beans and olives along with the pasta sauce.
Add in the water, spices and stir well.
Bring to a simmer and lightly boil, stirring often for at least 30 minutes.
Server with a large salad or some of your favorite dipping bread.
YUM!
Well, I’m off to sweat my face off at the gym, so I can come back and get puuuurrrdddy and meet my mom and nana for some lunch at Whole Foods!!
I hope you have a great day!

This is random – but your hair looks so cute in that picture of you pointing to the red carpet! Sadly I missed it but I’m reading all the recaps as we speak to catch up! Michelle Williams’ dress was GORGEOUS!

Love the photo with Michelle Williams, Kris! Ha ha
I think that cinnamon is my favourite chilli ingredient – yumzies!!!
Oh, and as an aside – I’ve ‘deleted’ Facebook for Lent (even though I’m not religious) and I must say that what I am missing most is the lil Glamistas community page!!!

I love that Ryan cooked for you, I have to get my fiance (Andrew) in on this, lol. Sometimes, when he is really in the mood, he cooks breakfast (which is always very tasty I might add), but that’s pretty much it.
I have never had olives in my chili before but it sounds great! My favorite chili ingredient are the beans

YUM to everything in this post!! I love gummy bears and chili? Oh my! My favorite chili addition is beans – tons of them. Oh, and sweet potato is pretty fantastic too!
Also, I love new pens! I love old-fashioned to-do lists and it’s all about the right type of paper and pen! Happy Monday beautiful! <3

Ooh yum, I love chili. Your weekend sounds fab – haha we’ve definitely scored the $20 Choices card from time to time too!
You KNOW I watched the Oscars last night – I’ve already posted my best and worst dressed picks!
I saw your post yesterday as well and LOVED it. It was so inspired!

Sugar-free candy does not agree with me at all – I get the worse stomach cramps when I eat it
I love Choices and the points! We’ve benefited from them more than a few times.
Favourite chilli ingredient is definitely chopped avocado served on top – I love the combo of the hot chilli with the cold avocado

Umm hi. I’m a creeper and saw your website on another blog.
I totally came here and the instant I scrolled around a little and saw “stationary whore” I knew I was in love.
Not in the creepy way, in the non-creepy “let’s be blog friends” creepy way. Which is still kinda creepy. I admit that.
okayloveyoubye.
