Lean Clean Shamrock Shake

Happy Thursday, Doll!

How are ya?  Having a good morning??

This morning I’m sipping on a glorious green goddess.

Ok, I’m going to whip out some honest with you here…..yesterday all day until 6pm I did NOT have a Green!!  On Facebook I started the Lean and Green Challenge seeing if anyone was interested to add 2 Greens for Dinner with me and that’s what I did.  We were flat out of groceries yesterday until we headed out a 4:30pm to get some dinner, so the only veg I had in the house was cherry tomatoes.

I ended up having 2 Protein Shakes, some Nuts, Yogurt and Cookies all day.  Goodness.

Dinner was amazing!  It was a HUGE Salad Tornado full of Avocado, Celery, Spinach, Mixed Greens, Carrots and Cherry Tomatoes!  It was drizzled with Olive Oil, ACV, Dijon and Salsa.  Bomb dot com.

Side little egg and a wee smidgen of Ryan’s Amy’s Pizza cause I’m  freak for that shiz.

Ahhhh let’s move onto the fun food this morning!

I think I had the Shamrock Shake maybe 3 times from McDonald’s when I was younger.  I can remember at the age of 16 hitting the gym with my friend and on the way home we’d pick up fries and the beloved green bevy that would color my mouth green and hop me all up on sugar and bloating tummies for hours after.  Not fun.

Now I’m a gym slooze and I’m in and out of there 6 days a week.  Love.

Remember that we can still eat Fun, Tasty Holiday Treats, but they WILL be Healthy and Beneficial, at least they will be when you come here for some.

I don’t know about you, but I want to get into my bikini here in a couple months and feel good with my fitness goals.  I want to stand tall and pat myself on the back at the end of my 90 Day Challenge and look at all the hard work I’ve done, I don’t want to cave to the fattening cravings and sugar filled BLAH’s.

Do you?

Enter the Lean Clean Shamrock Shake!

My friend, fellow blogger and business partner, Kilee Johnson has also rocked her version of the S.Shake and it sounds blissful too!

Lean Clean Shamrock Shake:

1.5 cup Almond Milk {Unsweetened}

2 Scoops Vi-Shape Shake Mix {Or use Vanilla Protein of Choice}

1/4 Avocado

1 handful of Spinach

1/4 tsp Peppermint Oil

1/4 Banana {I’ve been watching my banana intake, but you can do 1/2}

To Make: Place all in a blender and buzz it up!  It’s DELICIOUS!!!!

So lean, so green and so lightly minty.

Lately I’ve been loving all my lean eats and have been nice and protein full.  Keepin me on track for my Challenge Goal.

Being on the whole “Green Movement” lately I tried my first ever Kombucha…in green…

My verdict?

It tastes like BEER.  ‘Nuff said.

Today I’m jammed packed with calls, emails and business building!

Comment Below! Did you love the Shamrock Shake from McDonalds too?  How is your Lean and Green Eating going??

    Good morning Kris!! I just sat down at the computer to drink my coffee and read your Shake recipe. Guess what this girlie is trying for her shake this morning? – YOUR Shamrock Shake! The avocado sounds divine and I have a ripe one sitting on my counter.

    I know what you mean about bananas. I was a little banana crazy in the past, and try to stick to 1/2 a day or less. It’s important to rotate our fruits and veggies so we get a variety in our diet.

    Yesterday, I HAD to go to Walmart because no one else had the printer ink refill that I needed and I saw this grandma walking around drinking a bright green shake from McDonalds. I wanted to swap it out for one of our shake – haha!

    Thanks for the shout out. I’m going to go blend up your shake. Have a great day sista!
    xoxo, Kilee

    I love Kombucha, especially G.T. Dave’s (by the way, if you email them telling how much you like their product they send you coupons!). My favorite flavor is the gingerade- its so light and refreshing.

    This shake looks yummy! I have to say I tried Kombucha(grape) and I was ok with the taste until a slimy thing went down my throat and THAT was not ok!! This may be a strange question but is everyone ok with the cultures at the bottom and are you supposed to ingest them?? After I swallowed it and then saw all the chunky stuff at the bottom I just couldn’t finish it!help!:)

    Your shamrock shake rocks :) I too have been watching my banana intake and find that avocados are a great replacement in green smoothies for that thick creamy consistency.

    I recently tried a ginger kombucha and it tasted exactly like ginger beer. How awesome that this stuff is actually good for you!
