Carb Cycling For Leaning Down

Happy Tuesday, Doll!

How are ya??

So, I have to make this quick as I have an early morning appointment for my next Laser Skin Treatment, which I have mixed feelings about.  It hurts like a mother humper, but I know its working and I want smooth skin!  No pain, no gain, right??

As you know I’m on Phase 3 of the Jamie Eason LiveFit {kinda failed over the weekend, but still on it.  DOH} and this is the final stretch, the do or die, the leaning up, lower calorie phase.  Its no walk in the park, but the results tell no lies.

Lately you want to know what I’m doing to lean down in this last phase and get the ultimate results of this challenge……

A friend Crystal asked:

“hey kris!

can you post what your cutting diet is like right now? i’ve put on enough muscle, but also put on some fat and would like to lean out.. i keep on getting sidetracked so need a solid plan to actually follow :o ) thank you

crystal”

AWESOME, Crystal, thank you!!  Let’s Rock and Roll!!

Side Note: I am no diet expert, have no idea what is right for your body, but knows what is right for mine, so switch up where needed and take it with a grain of salt ;)

Leaning Down Phase = High Protein & Veggies and Carb Cycling!

As Jamie Eason states in her program, Carb Cycling should not be done often and is only for this phase and can only be done for 3 weeks total.

I don’t follow this to a “T” daily as some days I want another rice cake with peanut butter, dang it.

If you’re interested in finding more info on how to calculate your Calories and how many Carbs to eat on your High Carb Days and Low Carb Days, check out the calculator that BodyBuilding.com has here.

I’ve been following this plan:

Week 1 – 5 Low Carb Days, 1 High Carb Day {1 Rest Day at Low Carbs} – High Carbing is on the 4th day of training.

Week 2 – 4 Low Carb Days, 2 High Carb Days {1 Rest Day at Low Carbs} – High Carbing on 1st day and 4th day.

Week 3 – 4 Low Carb Days, 2 High Carb Days {1 rest Day at Low Carbs} – High Carbing on 2nd and 5th day.

What do I eat??

Breakfast:

Eggs & Rice Cakes with Peanut Butter

or

Protein Shake & Apple

or

Greek Yogurt, Shake Mix & Berries

Snack:

Rice Cakes & Peanut Butter

or

Almonds and an Apple

or

Protein Cookie / Protein Cake

Lunch:

Salad Tornado with Tuna, Egg Whites or Salmon.

*High Carb Days – Side of Rice or Yams or Quinoa

Snack:

Celery & Peppers

or

Protein Cake

or

Protein Shake {with Berries}

Dinner:

Salad Tornado & Salmon, Omelet, or Tofu

*No Carbs after 7pm

Snack:

Protein Shake with Almond Milk

or

Greek Yogurt Mousse

or

Sea Weed Snacks

Of course as I showed on Facebook yesterday, I do indulge….but responsibly.  Dark Chocolate owns my heart.

I could also eat this salad from Whole Foods every day of my remaining life.  Amazing.

See ya later!! Wish me luck on the painful appointment today!! EEEEKKK!!

Comment Below!! What are lean eats you love on a daily??

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

Kris

Hi Kris! I will be in Vancouver this weekend. Do you have good healthy eat restaurant recommendations? Other than Whole Foods salad bar ;)

You are so healthy with your eating I can’t get over it! I could never stick to a plan like that, I’m terrible that way! I can do short-term cleanses etc but nothing over a longer period of time! I think your skin looks great (I’ve only seen it in photos of course) but you always look beautiful! And yes I love those TJ’s 70% chocolate bars. What I love about TJ’s is how many variations on dark chocolate it offers. Usually when chocolate goes ‘fancy’ and has add-ins it drops the cocoa count. All of TJ’s goodies are well over 70%, just love it!

Very interesting, I don’t think I could carb cycle. I would be a grumpy biatch ;) I hope you appointment goes well today! Just remember the pain is temporary! That’s what helped me through last time hah.
