Happy Wednesday, Doll!
How are ya??
Everyone has cravings. I’d like to tell you chocolate cravings only come during that joyous time of the month, but I’d be lying. The cravings happen a zillion times a day and I love fulfilling my cravings, of course, but we all know for abs to pop we can’t be eating Mars Bars all day.
Desperate times call for desperate measures around here and luckily my friend Rachel made up a bit of Protein Fudge and I fell in love.
I tweaked it to “Kris-ify” it and make it Ab friendly!
I know that peanut butter is not always the best option when leaning down as it is a bit higher in fat than an almond butter, but come’on…it tastes SO FREAKING GOOD! Yesterday if you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you know I declared my PB Addiction to the thousands. As soon as I posted it, I saw this picture and couldn’t help but laugh for like 5 minutes at it.
A couple things to know about me…my humor is very dirty
I love PB.
My Peanut Butter is not made like this…I hope…..
Cocoa Peanut Butter Protein Fudge
5 tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder {2 Scoops Vi Shape Shake Mix}
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
8 drops Liquid Stevia
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
1/8 cup Chopped Almonds {I used Roasted Unsalted}
1-2 tbsp Almond Milk {add more if needed}
To Make Cocoa Peanut Butter Protein Fudge: In a bowl combine all ingredients. Mix together and if you find the mixture to be very stiff, add a bit more almond milk.
Drop onto a parchment lined sheet and flatten out to the size you enjoy it. *Sometimes I just drop teaspoon amounts onto parchment paper and freeze them that way.
Place in the freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.
YUM!
I used crunchy peanut butter and it was divine
The protein and almonds keep you full and there is no crappy sugar that will harm your blood sugar levels. A great treat if you ask me!
Now, I’m off to coffee it up and then get my BodyRock on! I’m back to quick workouts for now until I find a new plan to follow! Any suggestions would be opened with welcoming arms!

haha funny picture! I love peanut butter, but it does not sit well in my stomach. I just bought walnut butter yesterday for omega-3s.

Great peanut pic girl! I am in love with this snack — I just started LiveFit with a friend on Monday, so healthy treat recipes are so welcome over here!!! Fave nut butters are cashew butter and sunflower seed butter — I love, love, love ‘em (and they are not in my house at the moment because of my undying love for them ha!)

I’m not one of those people that goes so nuts for nut butter that I eat it by the spoon, but I DO love all nut butters! Hard to pick a fave, so…
- cashew for its mild flavour and the fact that it makes everything taste like cookie dough
- peanut butter because it goes with EVERYthing!
- almond butter for its runnier texture and how great it tastes in smoothies…
- hazelnut butter because boom, you add some cocoa powder and stevia and you have the most luxurious treat ever and it’s WAY better for you than Nutella…
- tahini for how it tastes in salad dressings (though I guess that’s a ‘seed butter’??).
I do still need to try Sunbutter. Maybe that will be another favourite!! haha

I go nuts for any sort of peanut butter treat so this has got my name written all over it! When it comes to nut butters, I’ms somewhat of a purist – I prefer peanut butter over all the rest.
