Happy Wednesday, Doll!
How are you?
So I’ve been lazy. There is no way for me to sugar coat it to make my brilliant heart feel better about it, I’ve been lazy.
When I was in Miami there was ZERO time for me to workout as I was up late mingling {business…gotta do what you gotta do!}, early to rise for early morning meetings….alllllll day long meetings, dinners with friends, nights out. Rinse and Repeat. So the gym was a far away land for me.
In the Bahamas, truthfully, the gym facilities cost $15 a day to go there, x2 for both of us and yea, I could live without the gym for 5 days. We did go once to realize it was crowded and I had much more fun lifting a slushy pina to my lips instead of a $15 dumbbell. Crazy?? Maybe. But I’m truthful.
Since we got back I’ve been lazy. My eating has not been good and nor was it on the trip as Whole Foods is not found on a small island….
The GREAT news is I didn’t gain a pound and never lost my muscle tone because I still drank my 2 shakes a day {with water instead of almond milk} and took my ViPak and my life was good. So really, my nutrition wasn’t as bad as I thought, but I did eat wayyyy to many Starbucks Breakfast Sandwiches and Cheese Quesadillas. Dang.
So yesterday between calling, facebooking, networking and business I made time for the gym!! 35 minutes to be exact and I rocked out this BodyRock.tv workout in style!
It was a goood burn!!
After doing 3 rounds of each exercise at 50 seconds a pop I thought I was going to die! My poor biceps were burning and I’m so freaking stubborn I continued to lift with the 12.5lb weights because that what I was using before….stubborn. Let’s see how I feel later today
So normally I go balls to the walls set big goals for my 90 Day Challenges, but this time its easy peasy. BodyRock workouts that get me in and out and keep me in shape. Momma needs to hit ranks in the business so I can help people, set up my charity, buy freakin handbags and get myself a new car. Phew. Lots to do in the next 90 Days, huh??
Last night we did a quick run to the store after a challenge party at a friends house and I saw this for Hudson!!
{Michelle if you’re reading, he’d love one for his birthday! It comes in pink, you know how he loves pink!}
Ryan said NO to me getting Hudsy a Snuggie…..
But I did want to show you something cooler than the moomoo for the pooch!!
This cute bobble bracelet that my friend Karyn got for me in da Bahamas! I love it
I get stopped on the street asking me where I got this dazzler from so I think a lot of peeps like adding sparkle to their life. I love it!
I’m actually up early today because we’re meeting a friend who is flying in from Alberta to come pick up his BMW that he earned with ViSalus and he’s driving it back, so we’re doing a video for him and probably heading to starbucks
Then its back to business over here and hopefully another gym session. Man its hard getting back into the workout groove huh??
Have a great day!
Comment Below! Do you workout when on vacation? Is it hard for you to get back into when you’re back home?
To Your Glam Life,

I always go on vacation with great intentions of working out. Usually I will go once or twice at the beginning of the trip and then lose interest in that as the days go on! Sometimes our minds & our bods deserve a little break!

You are too freaking cute!!! Our vacay every year consists of a month in Italy where we spend about 7-10 days at my brother-in-law’s which is outside of Milano, about 17 days at my mother-in-law’s in southern Italy (Vieste which is in the Puglia region and right by the beach on the Adriatic), and then the rest of the time back at my brother-in-law’s. My brother-in-law lives next to a very large park (Parco di Monza, the largest enclosed park in Europe which is home to the F1 Grand Prix racetrack) and there’s a very nice 5K route which I try to walk every other day while we’re there. The beach by my mother-in-law’s has a very nice, wide sidewalk along it which is about 6k (3k each way) and I try to walk that every other day while we’re there. We also walk the entire length of the beach almost every afternoon which is about the same distance as the sidewalk. So even though I’m exercising (not hardcore but I am doing a fast-paced walk) I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything “vacationey” because I’m working out in these beautiful places surrounded by friendly Europeans!! The last few days back at my brother-in-law’s I just relax and spend time with our three C-R-A-Z-Y young nephews!!! Last summer there was a news program while we were there that said if you want to lose weight, eat gelato!! We do that anyway….hehehe…..but we always lose weight while we’re there just because the food is so fresh and organic (gotta’ love farmers’ markets). We’re set to head over there next week….can’t wait!!!

I think it depends where and with whom I’m vacationing with. I usually try to get a little something in, but its not a huge deal since we’re usually walking around so much.
Its definitely hard once you return and try to get back into that routine though!
You’ll be back before you know it!

it varies, I try to be active but sometimes I really like the idea of not doing anything!!

Yes! Usually I do quick/intense Pilates workouts on the hotel room floor, or go for a jog. I rarely WORK OUT though when I am on vaca…I try to keep it light, enough so that I can eat what I want and not feel gross

You definitely look good!! Congrats on keeping up with your shakes. Workouts or not, you definitely found a way to keep up your healthy habits. When I’m on vacation, I try very hard to get a workout in only because I tend to get super lazy. But if I don’t, itʻs no big deal. I just walk a little more and eat a littler better (okay… TRY to eat a little better!). Welcome home!
