Fake It Till You Make It!

Happy Monday, Doll!

How are ya?

It’s a glorious long weekend here and that just means another nice morning at Starbucks for moi.  My love….

I brought my joe to the beach yesterday where we met up with some friends, laughed, roasted in the extreme hot weather here and an entrepreneurs life never ends, we also crushed out some business calls.

Ahhh…my coffee shall travel to the lake!

We were there at the bum crack of dawn to make sure we had a spot and that we actually got into the lake!  Once the lot is full, no one is getting in..

OMG, in other news, I ate my first ever Cupcakes Cupcake!  Our friend Kelli owns the Cupcakes in West Vancouver and she so kindly blessed me with a coconut cream on over the weekend….Oooooo….it was good and 100% NOT Gluten Free.

Ok, ok, let’s talk about Faking It Till You Make It! Do you agree with this phrase??

I’ve battled with this from the first time I was introduced to it.  From one side I told myself “This is stupid!” from the other side “I can ROCK this!” and then something in me switched and I decided to give it a whirl.

This is my take on Fake It Till You Make It.

First off I did not turn into an overnight millionaire as I acted, but I felt like a million bucks!

I think many people get swayed away from trying new things or changing their beliefs and thoughts because “instant” results are not shown in some things that they might want in life….like “What the heck that new BMW did not appear in my driveway this morning!!” but I think a piece is missing in this saying…

Fake It For AS LONG As It Takes Till You Make It.

Does that sentence even make sense?!  Hmmmm.

I think faking it is great!  When I was broke I would try on all the clothes I wanted to buy when I had money.  We would only shop at Whole Foods even when we had $3 in our bank account because we knew the kind of people we wanted to attract and be around and some of the cheap grocery stores brought us down in an environment that others needed uplifting as well.

Just other day I tried on this $150 Nike DryFit Jacket that I thought was cute, but I’m not ready in my mind or heart to spend that on a running jacket…..maybe its just because I’d rather Lululemon ;)   LOL!

I wanted to feel what it was like to not care of the cost and feel what it felt like on…

A few years ago when I had an office job I used to drive to work, sipping my joe and in my head I’d pretend I was going to major business meetings, for my own business.  I would imagine a lot of phone calls, making people feel amazing, freedom and money!

Just a few years later, look at me.  I’m exactly where I was FAKING IT!

Here’s the secret, my glam friend….Don’t dig up your seeds!

When you have it in your head exactly what you want, rock it now, act as if you’re a 6 figure earner, a fantastic talk show host or a nascar driver.  Whatever it is, act as if its here now, keep doing it and watch little pieces fall into place.  But please, do me a favor.  If nothing happens for you today while faking it, don’t dig up your seeds!

Would you dig up a tulip because it took a few days longer to bloom?  No!  You’d let it run its beautiful blossoming course.  Do the same with your dreams and desires…

I still fake it, FYI.  Daily!  I’m right now living that I’m a well known speaker, life changer, traveler and freedom queen!

Comment Below! What are you believing you are?  Do you fake it till you make it?

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

I am a big believer in using this tool as well for the law of attraction. It’s so easy to get wrapped in the hows and what ifs… it much easier to think of the end result and the feelings associated with it. I also like to say to myself… lots of things can happen in a day, a week, and month. I love knowing I in the process of achieving my ideal body, job, etc.. It def helps keep me motivated. I love your blog! Keep sending those good vibe outs.. it’s contagious.

“Don’t dig up your seeds” – I friggin’ love this! Sometimes I’m so close to conquering a negative thought and the seeds jump out of the ground. They just dig themselves up and start planting in my head again. I think of it as a test of strength and will to keep faking it…

    Hi Kat!!

Our natural habits want to dig the seeds up right before they bloom and boom, what was coming is knocked down! You need to keep believing in your heart it is here, you are rocking your dreams and live it daily, you’ll see it flourish quickly!

I’m fairly new to your site. I think I found you through either Detoxinista or Oh She Glows. What is it that you do to make money? I read about business calls and stuff, but I’ve never been able to figure out what your business is.

Yep. I’ve been living by that mentality recently! It does happen once you really start believing it, and of course doing the work to achieve success!
