I’m in Fitness Limbo

Happy Thursday, Doll!

How are ya?

So first off, I’m in total fitness limbo. I feel like as soon as I was done my Jamie Eason LiveFit Program, went on vacation, drank too many pina colada’s and then got home…I’ve just been doing “here and there” workouts, mixing goodness from all angles. I thought I’d be great at making up my own “plan” to follow, but it turns out, I am not.

I miss my structure. I miss looking the night before to peek into the greatness my sweat sesh has in store for me….

Currently I’ve been rocking out to half BodyRock.tv and half LiveFit Phase 2. It’s a great combo for me, but I like the bright shinny new, I need a brand new plan a community a something NEW!!!

I’m a believer in getting mentored and trained by someone who has what you desire and doll, do I desire a Lori Harder bod….so I may try her online program. That or our friend is sending us Insanity and I could rock those socks off, but do you get ripped I wonder or is it just a big cardio fest? Someone please fill a Sista in!

Yea, so that’s my rant for today. Girl needs a new fitness routine!

This is the same ol same ol.

But this is new ;)

Speaking of NEW!!!! Omg, I’m in love with a new kombucha!! Have you tried this chai one?! Yum!

Well I’m off to do a bodyrock workout and possibly some arms a la Jamie Eason.

Comment Below! What program do you follow if any?

To Your Glam Life,

    HI!
I did Insanity over a year ago and I have to say it was one of the most intense fitness endeavors I have done! That being said, I felt that it bulked up my legs more than I would have liked so my pants did not fit haha, after I stopped doing the intense exercises and got back into my normal fitness routine, things settled out. I did get much stronger by the end (like I could do more normal pushups etc.) and I liked the structure/routine of the workouts so you knew exactly what you were doing and when. However, the workouts can get long near the end and doing 45+ minutes of cardio/plyo can be very tiresome and stressful on the body, I much prefer doing my 14-20minute HIIT and then still being able to do extra toning or deep stretching and I feel in better shape now than I did when I was doing Insanity. However, having the workouts is great to add in now and again to switch it up, and the Cardio Recovery video is amazing :)
    Hope that helps!

Thank you!!! Melissa, this totally helped me! If you know me….my legs are the LAST place I want to bulk, they need to trim! hahahaha!!

I dislike cardio anyways, so I like the idea of the 14-20 min HIIT much better :) I’ll keep looking :)

Before getting pregnant, I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and then I do P90x. I loved both. When babe is born i will be going back to Jillian and hitting the gym with some Jaimie Eason sessions.

The third eye chai kombucha….it’s AMAZING. I love it.

As for training programs…I can’t be of much help! I’ve been on the bike to work train lately. Talk about a million bicycle crunches. Those hills are tough! ;) . Lovin’ it!

    OMG I need that Kombucha!!!

I’ve been right where you are. Soon as I lost all my weight I was all…*shrug* now what?! Then I saw you doing LiveFit and I got curious but wasnt ready to get puffy and gain during bikini weather so Im saving that for late winter just before next summers bikini weather.

In the meantime I found some classes at my gym. Never got into Zumba but I fell IN LOVE with BodyPump. I went 2-3 times a week and just 4 weeks ago I decided it was time to change it up because I felt my body was used to it. I created a weight training program with split days that I’m starting to really like. Like any workout, after 4 weeks it’s time to change the routine just a bit so next 4 weeks are heavier and less reps.

Maybe you can try CrossFit if you want a challenge? If you can find BodyPump, I suggest that as well. I never got tired of that and still miss it a little but I know Im doing my body good by laying off it for a bit.

I hope you find something tho. That unknown is really tough to be in but I have upmost faith you’ll find something AMAZING and then I’ll have to go copying you. :P

I’m in the same boat…I’m recovering from a sports injury, and I can’t wait to get back to working out regularly again, but I’m at a loss for a program. Good luck!! I can’t wait to see what you pick!
