Finding Your Mantra

Happy Tuesday, Doll!

How are ya?

Well, I’m sipping my joe, trying to get to the gym, but the cops have the gym in our complex blocked off due to an “officer thang” since last night and it’s messing with my fitness.  We came home around 10pm after a team gathering and everything was caution taped!  I started having a munchkins jumping on my chest and my heart started beating really quickly when I see I can’t enter my home….I still have no real idea what happened besides hearing there was a lot of blood in the elevator and in the lobby, but I can tell you I was up till 1am watching the police dog look through all the bushes around here and sniffing all the drops of blood on the ground.

Oh, around 11:14pm a young cop rattles on our door to ask us questions and me sans makeup, pony tail holding my bangs back, belt undone and tshirt stuck in my underpants had to answer anything we knew.  He asked for the digits, but I can assure it wasn’t for an evening out after what he witnessed with my looks ;)

I swear I don’t live in the ghetto.  Or do I?!  Its time to move.  Stat.  Things like this really bother me!

My idea for today was to think of a mantra we can follow this week and I had a post idea all planned out about lollipops and gumdrops and then dang guns and cops are all over my mind.  EEEEEKKK!!

Ohhhhh the winner of The Simply Bar Giveaway is:

Hannah {no blog attached, so I’ll email you Hannah!}  YAY!!!!!

Ok, let’s bring it back to mantra’s.

What is a mantra?

man.tra:  a word or formula, as from the Veda, chanted or sung as an incantation or prayer.

I started to really incorporate a weekly mantra into my life when I went through my Life Coaching Course with Ann.  She would ask me to make up one of my own that would fit into my life at the time so I could manifest, believe or change my vibes and beliefs.  I had a lot such as “I am a strong and beautiful leader”, “I have a lot to offer the world”, “I am confident, conscious and beautiful”, “Money comes easily to me”, “I manifest abundance and deserve it”

As I go through my mantras from last year I can really see how repeating them over and over through the week really allowed me to integrate the words, the feeling and the belief in them and in myself.  Every single mantra I had, turned up in my life today.

How amazing is the power of a word when feeling is behind it?  So precious.

This week I asked on Facebook for you to make up a mantra that fits into your life at this moment, something that you would love to attract more of in your life {confidence, feeling beautiful, being a leader, manifesting money, you name it} and things that you are looking to rock out and declare it out loud.  I invited you to use this mantra all week and then on Monday we’ll set a new one to dive into and love.

I fell in love with this quote by Audrey Hepburn:

I decided I’m going to read this every morning, over lunch and before bed because I LOVE it, it makes me feel good, girly and alive!  What a great mantra, huh??

But, I also added this mantra to my daily and weekly prayer:

“I manifest with ease and miracles constantly shower on me”

For me this is what I need to be more alert with.  See more miracles, feel more manifestation.  This week I feel I need the reminder and the feeling within.

Find Your Mantra:

- Make up your own!  Write it out, carry it in your wallet, write it in your journal, place it as your book mark so you can read it and feel it always.

- Repeat your mantra with love and feeling behind it often through the day.

- Find an image online such as the above Audrey Quote and set it as your wall paper on your phone or desktop!

Get creative, but dive in and have fun.  Mantra’s freaking rule!  When rocked correctly you can see the wonderful things transpire in your life, like I said, all of mine have…..its a glam gorgeous thing!

Now, let’s try and dodge some cops and get my booty to the gym!  Come’on peeps, do you know its my leg day??

Ohhhh did you see on Facebook I’m posting my workouts?  I’m being stubborn and proving that I can build up the lean muscle and body I want on my own without a program…let’s see if this newbie fitness lover can do it, will you join me?

Comment Below! What is your mantra this week?

To Your Glam Life,

xxoo

Scary stuff! I hope you guys are OK! Let us know what ends up happening. My mantra – I just made this up – is “you’ve got no where to be but in this moment, so enjoy it”. I’m trying to be more mindful in my day-to-day :)

Oh man, that is super scary! Hopefully it wasn’t a very serious thing, but kind of sounds like it was!
I love making your own mantras! I’m definitely a fan of it, and post these things around my house, in notebooks, and bring them in my bag. I love that mantra and love Audrey Hepburn, such a classic beauty! xo
