I peeked into my tiny hole of a mail box yesterday and to my surprise {I love getting mail, fyi!} my Success Magazine came! There is something about getting a fresh mag in the box while on your way to Starbucks to make a girl siiiinnnnggg!
No plastic was removed until an Americano was in hand and I had a good environment to flip calmly through the crisp pages…..
No lie, Martha motivates me! That gal can make a mean scramble and a cool million like no problem, I love it.
“I think people who have a real entrepreneurial spirit, who can face difficulties and overcome them, should absolutely follow their desires. It makes for a much more interesting life.”-Martha Stewart
Ever since I was a little girl I knew I was going to be successful. I knew I’d have freedom in life and I knew I’d help a lot of people with financial security. “I want to be a school teacher”. When I put two and two together, I found out teachers were not rich….but they did have freedom for 2 months a year. That didn’t fly with me, so back to the drawing board I went. I wanted to Change Lives. Helping people was in my cards…. it’s now my life, my purpose and I love helping others do the same, win win. But there is something magical about people that know what they love, someone like Martha Stewart that can create such a golden brand out of passions they are fantastic at. Come’on now, that gal can bake and her name is on my friggin’ Christmas Tree…..her ideas are endless!
From what I’ve been reading up on her, she’s always had a passion to be big, to share so much with the world and give back where she can. The passion in her writing and her voice when she talks about fresh basil is amazing…..
It hit me. Ryan and I got to where we are today because of have a very strong Vision. That’s a big missing piece for most people. Sure we had drive and purpose, but we had to know why we were running so hard. That little girl dreaming of being something fantastic one day, had the drive and the desire, but lacked a VISION. It wasn’t until I learned how to create a vision, that I actually had one.
When I look at everyone “famous” or “successful” who has created something out of nothing all had a vision.
Let’s stop for a second. Take a pen and paper and write 3 words that represent what you LOVE, what your Passionate about. It could be Muffins, Decorating, Painting, Helping Others, Weight Loss, Fitness, Makeup, Fashion, you name it, it’s your gift, everyone is different.
When you have your top 3, review them. Do they make you smile? Are these REALLY your 3 loves? Define them and let’s create magic!
Reading Martha’s story, she purchased her old, worn down, ratty 1805 home that she visualized sparkly again, “removing the unsightly and replacing it with the beautiful”, she helped every step of the way making sure this home was redone to her exact liking, great vision was poured into it. When it was completed she started a catering company out of her basement, serving many big name people and starting something even more fabulous, her tasty brand. Now, this home is her set for her television show…..
It all starts with a KNOWING where she was going. A farm house, made fabulous that merged her passions together. We can be passionate, and driven, but what will we do with it? Where will we go? I can guarantee that your entrepreneurial skills will kick into high gear when you know where you’re going.
I recommend you think of where you want to be and what you want to accomplish and lay out a vision for your life, then the hardwork comes easier when you have they game plan and they big WHY you are doing the work. My purpose here is to help you find your natural gifts and loves and make them your own, live that vision and purpose and have Christmas Tree’s with YOUR name on them.
Fill me in, Have you every drawn out a vision for your life or your future brand?
To Your Glam Life,
xxoo
Kris

This identifying of my passions is exactly what led me to sign up for the holistic health coaching course at IIN and I start taking on clients in April, I’m so excited! Although I’ll be helping all kinds of people with all kinds of problems, I want to specialize in weight loss/gain/maintenance in a sustainable, lifestyle way, as that has been what I have had to play with for myself and I know the keys to success and the common pitfalls that come along with it. And I know what a positive effect it can have on your life when you feel good about your health and body! I am too excited about this.
PS. Love “make a mean scramble and a cool million”. Haha.

I am definitely marking this post and coming back to it. A lot of what you said totally resonates with me. My hubs is very similar-minded: he always wanted to be successful, especially in business. He even subscribes to Success! He is definitely one of my inspirations because he takes so many opportunities that come his way. I still have things I need to work on personally. This looks like a good first step!!
PS I agree with Anna’s comment above: “make a mean scramble and a cool million” is a great phrase!!

I love you Kris! Even though not everything had come together quite yet and my vision keeps changing, I still have a belief that I WILL succeed. Reading your blogs is motivating, especially the last two. Thanks for all your inspiration! xo
