Double Chocolate Protein Cookies (Grain Free)

Happy Wednesday!!!

I’m a wee bit late posting this morning as I had to get a workout in before I head for an appointment. I needed to sprint this morning my friend….I was fun and not fun.

Now, I come giving treats!

Yesterday I needed chocolate!! I needed a cookie. I needed something sweet it would fill my heart….but I couldn’t bring myself to eat a chocolate chip cookie from Starbucks. No way! I made my own.

Grain Free. Sugar Free. Double Chocolate! Ohhhhh baby!!

I made them tiny so I could have 2….or 3 and it was fine ;)

Double Chocolate Protein Cookies:

1/4 cup coconut flour
3/4 cup protein powder (I use vi shape shake mix)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
4 stevia packs
1 egg
1 tbsp nut butter
2 tbsp almond milk
1-2 tbsp water (depending if you need it)
3 tbsp chocolate chips (I used endangered species chocolate chopped)

To make cookies: preheat oven to 350.

Mix all dry ingredients together and all wet. Mix the wet and the dry and roll into 1″ balls.

Flatten with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes.

Back to the ‘mill I go!

I’m actually excited to start sprinting!! You are hearing me right. I know I’m the gal who dreads cardio, but being that I’ve been rocking LiveFit back to back for the second time, I just get used to cardio (and the thinner thighs) and then boom we’re on phase 1 with no cardio andddddd girl I can see it and feel it.

My weakness is not regulating my diets for my workouts. Jamie Eason carb cycles, I eat carbs and then want to cycle. I don’t like giving up my food.

I however don’t eat junk at all, so I think it’s ok! Maybe I need more protein? Jeepers, there is so much to know when you’re sweating it out for great results huh??

So today, I will sprint and we’ll see how long it lasts for! Cardio still kills me, I’m sure ;)

I’m sure I’ll report back.

Oh I tried this chia Kimbucha over the weekend and it was strange!!

As you can see I went to Whole Foods for the “must needs”.

Have you tried this Kombucha?? At every sip I questioned “why” chia would even be in there?! It was just weird to me! I’m a texture gal though. Things can’t freak me out or I never order it again!

Well, I’m off to Starbucks to work, then sprint at the gym! Wish me luck!!

Andddddd shut the front door!! Ryan wanted to go to Starbucks with me to READ!!! Ryan never wants to lounge around anywhere, so this was a gift from the universe for me. Holy crap!

It was awesome!

Did it last long? Nope.

I spent time at a book store where I stood and gazed at this wall of greatness!

I also thought a lot about the work I teach and how I coach and I wanted to share with you today in a segment I’ll call “Life Coaching from Kris”

Sooooo subtle changes. Let’s rock and roll!

I used to want everything over night. I wanted to reach more people with my coaching, my knowledge like yesterday. I wanted more money, more freedom, more change within, a better mindset over night.

It never happened and it caused me a great deal of stress (enter breakouts) and frustration, questioning “can I really do what I want to do? Am I good enough?”

All because I was on day #1 of my new life journey.

Can you relate??

What you must remember (what I figured out after my first crash and burn) is the tiniest changes lead up to the big change you are working towards! It’s ok if you work your booty off on changing your mindset and nothing happens in a week, maybe things are happening, you just don’t see them?

My point is, don’t dig up your seeds!! Your vision has to be soooooo great. So huge. So clear. For you to stay on track, bring gentle on yourself that you’re not a millionaire over night, or ripped and have the tightest buns on the block. You know!

When it comes down to your new path and this journey to better yourself you don’t need the big bang, you need to recognize the small subtle things, the little miracles that are actual huge miracles if you tune in and see what you can learn from them!

What I invite you to do is to keep going strong with your rituals and your new beliefs, tune in and feel the little shifts that are happening every day and give them a little gratitude action while you know in your heart every little subtle shift will lead you to great things!

Journal them baby!!

Mocha Almond Popcorn

Happy Treat Friday!!

I’m super excited it’s Friday! WoooooHoooo! I’m ready to get this day started!

Ok, so I did something so awkward yesterday and maybe it’s because I was zoned out or shall I say “zenned” out with all my miracles learning in ACIM and my meditating to a grey bearded dude on YouTube, but I opened the front door in my underpants for the UPS dude…..

Oh geez!! I think my UPS man will be happy to deliver me shakes next month! Seeeeee my milkshakes or errrrrr underwear bring all the boys to the yard?! I was mortified when I realized what was happening.

Anyways, enough about my underpants! Onto treats!

I have something funky fresh for you today! Chocolate and popcorn?! A bit of coffee in there too? Sounds fab to me!

I got this sample at Starbucks yesterday and wanted to try a wee bit of it. So tasty :)

Caramel Iced VIA!! You know I won’t drink it all due to the sugar content, but 1/8 of a tsp in a treat never hurt anyone.

Mocha Almond Popcorn:

Plain popcorn
Almonds
1/8 tsp caramel via or coffee
1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 stevia pack

Mix all the drizzle together.

Toss popcorn and almonds together and drizzle!

Let harden a bit and dive in!

I was in heaven :)

We met friends late Tuesday night for sushi….

Then…..Ryan was up all night with food poisoning, I’m terrified of barf, it was a freak show over here! I didn’t sleep a wink until 5:30am and woke up at 7:30 am when Hudson decided to join me on the couch :/

Anywhoozle, a large coffee, and a nap later I was feeling better yesterday and so was Ryan! Thank god!!

We even ended up here at 8pm before our Costco run!

Those suckers (literally!) are small, persistent and know what the heck they want and need at all times! They are always on point and ready to crush, are you??

When you feel you’re to “small” to change lives, please think of this quote “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito!”

I used to think I was too small, at 5’10 I felt small…then I realized that I went through my mess to allow it to be my message :)

Create a lifestyle you can live with

Happy Tuesday! This week is buzzing by already!

I know as well as I do that eating healthy and clean is a lifestyle shift, no diets, no fads, just healthy, clean eats, on a regular.

When I found this image from someone I admire in the industry, the gorgeous Kimberley Snyder I fell in love with how simple it was to share this new possibility of a new lifestyle with the masses!

I know I’m preaching to the choir with you, you’re a rockstar and already know this and know the importance of your own health, but I feel we need to step up more and share it with others!

No one can ever be 100% perfect on green veg all day, so as the image says, “you decide what counts as a cheat meal” for me, it’s a carb like gluten free pizza….or maybe Pinkberry :/. But I enjoy it when it comes around! When you’re ok with it once a week, you feel better!

My mission is to help others see that healthy options are just as tasty and wayyyyy better for you than Doritos! We can really pull together and help a lot of peeps, can’t we?

A Course In Miracles

Happy Monday!! It’s actually a long weekend here and I love that! So today’s post is going to be zippy as I’m on my way to the gym and then to Starbucks!

You know I’ve been learning from a course in miracles, right? Well up until the weekend the books have been sold out here so I was studying it on a PDF version (crazy, I know!) so finally I found a store that had some in stock, I drove my booty there and got my book!

Ahhhh it feels amazing to have it in my hands!

While at Banyan Books I found some friends that were pretty happy! It’s so freaking awesome, this store is so woo woo, it’s makes me feel good being there!

Nothing beats the energy that you feel in this store full of Buddhas, Crystals and books :)

Over the weekend I also made “throw it in the bowl” fudge.

I don’t have a recipe! Yikes! Ihave to retrace my steps here so I can give you a recipe as I made without thinking, in my food daze as I usually do ;) I’ll make more today and see how it turns out!

Protein Reese’s Bars

Happy Friday!!!

I am so excited Friday is here!

Last night I fell in love…I’m seriously a freak for Tony Stark. Aka Ironman.

While Ryan and I were at the beach yesterday, we decided it would be awesome to see Ironman 3.

The movie was amazing and super entertaining! Maybe I loved the movie so much because I loaded up my snacks with me?!

I saw a thin mint recipe on The Fitnessista the other day and couldn’t wait to try it….I just didn’t have mint :/

So mine turned into protein Reese’s peanut butter bars!

Buddha Be Up In My Home

So yesterday I talked about miracles, and I’m getting all spiritual on you…well it’s not over. It was fitting yesterday with my miracle high to bring in another piece of…..peace?!

Hudson is never quite sure of things that are the same size as him, or larger…so a lot of sniffing was involved ;)

I think this Buddha adds a nice energy and calmness to our home. Very chill.

I did make it to the gym yesterday, I can assure you I did not just shop for Buddhas, I did get work and workouts done ;) i want to keep you updated on my LiveFit Challenge! I’m on week 3 now of Phase 1 again, I feel good, but have been slacking a bit due to my cold / sniffles…it’s not good for my workout zone!

Last night was back and biceps and I live this session! Today is chest and tris…love the Tri’s hate the chest part, but I will do it later after my morning appointments, I promise!

How are your workouts going? What have you been doing?

Ohhhh and plain Greek yogurt made it into my fridge again. I’m doing everything in my power to not eat it multiple times a day! Lord help me!!! Maybe Buddha will??

Miracles arise from a mind that is ready for them…

Good Morning!

I hope you are having a great day!  I am feeling a bit better over.  My natural remedies seem to be healing my snotty mess asap, it’s awesome!  The body is an amazing thing, isn’t it?

Speaking of amazing, I’ve been mind deep in A Course Of Miracles and it’s blowing my mind…..I believe so much in miracles and that we are creators of our life, full of the same powers and ability to create as the universe.  When you sit back and really think about how trippy it is, it really starts to make sense!

I read something yesterday in the book that I thought I’d touch on today in our chat – “Miracles arise from a mind that is ready for them”

I don’t know about you, but Miracles are always all around me.  I’m pretty good at having my miracle eyes and radar out even in a crappy situation, but I get so many people just thinking I’m “lucky” and nothing ever happens to them.  You know those people?

Well, if you’re not receiving miracles, something is wrong.  You and I both are designed to be receiving them daily, like a little care package from our homegirl, the universe to go and learn, grow and better our love and life!

So what does it mean by “a mind that is ready for them”?  I believe that we have to be in a state of love, gratitude and forgiveness for you and I to receive miracles.  I know, trust me, there are days I am struggling with this, we are human and it does take a lot of practice.  One thing I’ve been finding that helps me is a quick 10 minute meditation each day, as it centers me and allows the other stress or anger to calm right down…or sometimes if I crank out my weights I’m back in a place of love and happiness.  Something about the gym gets me back on track.

What I think you should do if you haven’t been seeing the miracles lately is sit quietly and connect, ASK what you need to do!  You will always get the answer.  Then focus on one are for the rest of the day, it might be that you are focused on feeling Love all day, or maybe Gratitude, but the trick is to always be forgiving and that will in return bring you the love you need to open up and see the miracles, because honey, they are THERE!

A lot of times we are so held back from our flow because of fear, don’t let fear slow you down.  Replace fear with forgiveness {yes, again hard at times!} and enjoy!  I’m on a week straight of doing this and it’s been awesome, I invite you to join on my “replace fear with forgiveness” party ;)   1 week baby!
