I recently checked my Instagram DM’s, which I never check and I had a few messages from gorgeous new friends who wanted to know my honest feedback on Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Program!
All of these women were questioning if the program really works.
If it made me too bulky and if I followed the diet plan that goes with the program.
All great questions that I’m eager to answer, honestly!
To get you up to speed, I am no longer following the LiveFit program and I’ll get into what program I’m following in a minute (it’s giving me SUPER fast results as I plateaued with LiveFit!) but I did want to share some of my transformation with you, so you can see honestly if this program is for you or not.
Now, I started the LiveFit Trainer Program back in 2012!! I seriously can’t believe that it’s been this many years that I’ve been dedicated to my fitness and health because prior to committing to LiveFit (for the full 90 days….a few times over) I never stuck to anything when it came to my fitness. I didn’t think it was “important” to block time out each day to workout and quite honestly, I was lazy.
When I decided to actually commit to taking the leap and going ALL IN, it just felt right and I had to manage my mood with making this decision as I was anti-sweating. I was ready to take this fitness journey on full tilt and fall in love with the journey, because I knew it would take a lot of work…and a long time to see the results I wanted.
To this day, all these years later I am so in love with fitness and my body that I am in the gym 6 days a week and still totally madly in love with heavy weights!
Ok! Let’s talk progression…
If you’re reading this post then I know you’re looking at the pro’s and con’s of the Jamie Eason Live Fit Program and I’ll give it to you real.
My overall opinion of LiveFit Trainer is it is AMAZING. It’s super simple to follow and NO you won’t get “bulky”.
The downside for me however was by Phase 3 you are in the gym for a long time. Sometimes up to 1.5 hours if you’re following the plan exactly as it’s stated and doing your longer cardio sessions…which I rarely did.
I am not a fan of cardio, so I would do as little as possible and in return to speed up my metabolism and keep fat burning, I lifted as heavy as I could, especially on leg day!
Oh yes – leg days. There are lots of them, so get used to that!
I personally, would rather get my workout done then go drink coffee than run for long periods of time. But that’s just me ; )
If you love cardio, this program is a perfect mix of cardio and weights – but ONLY during Phase 2 and Phase 3. There is ZERO cardio in Phase 1 (so rad).
The Nitty Gritty!
I started LiveFit for the first time on April 11th, 2012…. and these pics prove the 2012 start ; )
As mentioned earlier BEFORE these pictures in 2012 were taken, I rarely broke a sweat!
Now keep in mind, I am 5’10, so I’m naturally longer and lean-ish, but it takes me time to add muscle on these long limbs!!
2011 – Prior to LiveFit Trainer.
Let’s go through the MANY LiveFit Trainers I’ve done with progress pictures…
Here’s a process pic from May 2012. Just 1 month into my first LiveFit Trainer!
Keep your mind focused on the outcome!
You will get tripped up thinking about how much food / calories the program tells you to consume to add lean muscle and remember, there is NO CARDIO for the first month.
So keep your mind right!
Day 25 of my first round of LiveFit!
End of my first 90 Day LiveFit Program!
But you can’t stop at just one round!!
Once my 90 days of the 2012 program was done, I didn’t stop there. I was addicted, so I rocked another round of LiveFit in 2013 too!
July 2013 – I was feeling really happy with my results after ONE year on the program and I was strong!
I loved ALL the arm workouts in the program so much and as you can see – you don’t get “BIG”, you get toned and stay lean.
Jump ahead to 2014…
I took some time off from LiveFit in 2014 for 4 months. We had moved to Del Mar, CA and I didn’t follow a plan at all.
I didn’t workout for 2 whole months as I was too busy working on the beaches and transforming my life….but I also felt FLAT.
When we got back to Vancouver in August 2014, I started LiveFit again in September and as you can see by November, I was back in shape.
Here’s what I know about working out with heavy weights and minimal cardio…
The lean muscle you build is kinda always there and if you take time off, you bounce back a lot quicker and your metabolism is a lot higher! Which makes snacking a lot more fun!
Let’s bounce ahead on the journey to TODAY!
Today I am not following LiveFit Trainer as I hit a plateau and I guess that normal for cycling a through my love affair with a workout program!
Now I am totally consumed (and love it with all my heart!!) with Kelly Bedore’s Fierce Fitness 6 Week Program! It’s seriously magical.
I HAVE A BOOTY NOW! It only took me 35 years ; ) Hahah!
Kelly’s program has introduced me to so many MORE booty workouts that LiveFit never did!
The workouts I follow now are shorter, but designed in a way that you are feeling the burn all over.
This program is also designed for women like me whom have a passion for the feeling and burn of heavy weights. I really love the look of a toned and defined body and I feel really good toady in my skin.
Something really shifted in my muscle definition when I started Kelly’s program and it was instant.
My guy has noticed a big difference in my booty (YASSS I have always wanted a booty!!) and also my arms.
I feel I am more “solid” in a way that I feel really comfortable with and even my cellulite has gotten WAY less visible. I hear this happens when you focus on working your legs with heavy weights.
It tones the muscle up so nicely.
I have made some shifts in my diet as well since the last time I did Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Trainer that I will fill you in on!
+ Eating primarily “paleo”
+ Limiting my fruit intake.
+ Eating more good fats
+ Working out purely on “bulletproof coffee” Kris’ style… Black Coffee blended with Coconut Oil and Cinnamon Essential Oil.
+ Taking the LifeLong Vitality Pack Supplements by doTERRA that are the BOMB and the omegas have essential oils in them. (I swear these changed my body!)
+ I take 1 drop of lemon essential oil in each litre of water I drink for light detoxing and I stand loud and proud for this! < — Email me for info on which one is actually safe for you to take!
* Note, I took this at the end of the day, full meals and I haven’t filtered any of these photo’s so you can see honestly what being dedicated to lifting heavy and eating well will do for you.
PHEW. These are a lot to cover in this post!
LiveFit Training Answers to Your Questions:
Did I follow the meal plan that Jamie Eason laid out for the program?
Not 100%. The first time I did LiveFit back in 2012, I tried to. I was eating a LOT of food and yes, I got bigger as in more muscular, but I still prefer my physic today.
I don’t eat nearly as much as I did back when I started LiveFit.
Did I get bulky?
No. I went from skinny fat and uncomfortable in my skin to toned, tight and strong!
Trust me ladies, my thighs are my insecurity and they never got bigger, they got smaller, but more defined.
Did I follow the plan to exactly?
Not exactly…like I said, I did follow it perfectly with the weights, but not the cardio.
An example of how I changed the cardio up was instead of running for 30 minutes or being on the elliptical for 30 minutes, I went for a hike. Or a walk around the neighbourhood with my dog.
Yes, I did add the sprints in the first 2 times I followed LiveFit, then my muscle base was built and I was happy with how I looked.
Do you see results after 90 Days on the program?
Would I recommend it?
Heck yes! It’s a great program that is simply outlined so you can have a really great transformation if you apply it and love it.
You need to love what you do, so you show up with passion and excitement.
Remember to eat foods that agree with you for best results! If you bloat on gluten or dairy, cut it out as it’s not allowing your body the best nutrition or results.
