I’m a sucker for all things healthy that will help my body, my brain, mental focus and my skin!
My days have been quite full lately full lately.
I do not say my days are “busy” anymore, because the more I dive into the Tony Robbins philosophy, the more he reminds me that being busy is a cover up for fear. In my case it always is…. I have been quite FULL in my work lately, haha! Yes, there is still fear. Yes, I know what it is, it’s called “up-leveling”…I know I need to have more trust!
So – most days I need a quick brain boost around 1pm and I have been having a Fatty Tea to help me with my mental clarity and focus.
On my quest to deepen my soul’s calling (I’ll share how I did this in a second!) and help other women like you play bigger in life (we’re in this together, babe, trust me!), I tuned into my heart and heard the message that I “need more fat!”. Clearly I took this as a message to add more fat into my diet. ; )
This past Saturday I had to stop, honour myself, go into some fear and into my hearts messaging..
What I love to do when I am feeling super overwhelmed, confused or even if I feel f*cking amazing and need to expand THIS energy, I do the opposite than what most people would tell you to…I stop and I UP my self-care time.
Now, it has taken me a little practice to get into my “self-care zone” because I do want to fight my way through blocks and or fears, but dang that depletes me more if I don’t just stop and reconnect.
So, how do I get into my self-care zone? I adore using spa music, crystals that pull me from my collection and the aroma of gorgeous essential oils to allow me to sink into and deeply align with my heart and all I am here to put into creation!
Here’s the nitty gritty…
I love writing as a guided conversation, I also love writing goals that are on my heart and what I’m called to do and whom I’m here to be. On Saturday night as my spa music was playing, Lavender and Sandalwood Essential Oil was diffusing and my dog was sleeping on his bed next to me, I heard “incorporate more fats” and instantly I knew I needed to boost up my coconut oil.
Isn’t it amazing how well we know what we need when we just listen?!
We can walk around as watered down versions of ourselves, but the world needs your WHOLE self, the self that knows what it needs and desires and owns this connection within and I find when I connect back inward, instead of fighting or pushing on through, I can realign with my wholeness easily, get all the answers I need (like to sip more fats) and it’s freaking MAGIC!
Naturally, since Saturday, this has been my drink of choice around 1pm when I need that *refocus*!
Fatty Tea Recipe:
1 tea bag of choice (I use Allegro Tea in Queen Bee)
1 tsp of Coconut Oil
1 drop of Cinnamon Essential Oil
Make your tea as usual and add in the coconut oil and cinnamon oil.
* Make sure when you are taking essential oils internally that they are pure therapeutic grade essential oils.
The longer the tea steeps, the more delicious it is and this simple and healthy bevy will totally help you while you work! Hello mental focus and clarity…not to mention all the skin nourishing benefits from the coconut oil, and the health benefits of the cinnamon essential oil which are outstanding: immune boosting, fights free radicals, stimulates libido, relieves depression…just to name a few glowing benefits!
Have a sip and let me know how you enjoy the Fatty Tea!!
