How is your beautiful day going today?
Mine is going very nicely. I have enjoyed a nice morning on the patio with a little tea and some Breaking Dawn. I feel I am savouring every page of this book as I know once this is done, my vamp obsession is over 😉
Yesterday while grocery shopping I came across a new protein powder I have been wanting to try for a while, so I decided to throw it in my cart and bring it home!
Have any of you seen or tried this before?! It is loaded full or protein and amino acids!
So I was on my experimenting journey with this new love of mine last night….
I of course made a big smoothie after my leg workout last night with 1/2 banana and a cup of rice milk, filtered water and 2 tbsp of the pspp! Loved it! You can’t even taste the powder.
I also made some lentil burgers for dinner and added some of the protein powder in them 😉
As I was loading my plate up I totally broke my burger. It ended up looking more like a chicken strip than a burger.
These lentil-y things were super good!
Lentil Yam Burgers:
2 cups red lentils
4 cups water
1 cup cooked yam
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 small onion
1 medium carrot
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp pepper and seasoning of choice. (I used organic everyday seasoning)
1 – 2 tbsp pumpkin seed protein powder
Cook lentils and yams as directed.
Preheat oven to 400
Place cooked lentils, yams and all other ingredients into your food processor.
Form into patties on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes a side.
I enjoyed these burgers with baked Sweet Potato Fries, Steamed Broccoli and Carrots (only steam for 2 min to keep nutritional value!), sauteed mushrooms and zucchini in light coconut oil.
Back to the Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder!

Thank you Omega Nutrition for such a wonderful product! Now the week of testing if it is good for me starts!!
You can find a simple smoothie recipe on their site here.
My morning smoothie consisted of:
2 tbsp pumpkin protein powder
1 cup rice milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 handful of spinach
1/2 frozen banana
Blended and thoroughly enjoyed 😉
Now I am off to get some emails done, site stuff, dog walk, and chiropractors appointment!
Have a great day!
Have you tried the Pumpkin Protein Powder yet? How many smoothies do you think you have a day? Do you usually stick to your fave protein powder or do you try new ones as well?
