It’s not secret that I LOVE coffee. Today I’m totally loving a good cup of “Fatty Coffee” or what many of you know of as bulletproof coffee.
I do my “bulletproof” a wee bit differently than most as I try to stay away from dairy or butter because of how my body feels with dairy, but this all can change and I might start adding ghee to my coffee to test it out, I’ll keep you posted ; )
Gawww, I love waking up knowing that I have my “bliss time” with a cup of dark roast and my morning ritual. This brings me JOY.
Actually, at the beginning of the year, Ryan and I sat down to write out our goals and on my “Joy List” was COFFEE. I kinda felt a little crazy that coffee is a joy of mine, but it truly is. I’m not in desperate need of the caffeine jolt when I wake-up, I just adore the coziness and the emotional connection I have with sitting with my mug and the aroma and of course, the taste.
My cup is always full as I go through each step of my morning practice.

Black coffee is hands down my favourite beverage and there are many health benefits to black coffee and of course consuming more fats in your diet!
My personal health has changed since adding more FATS to my diet and I have noticed my skin is more glowy, my hair is shinier, my weight is stable and my muscle tone is better! I am not eating grains on Whole30, so now that I load UP on fats!!
My Simple “Bulletproof” Coffee Recipe is this:
1 cup Freshly Brewed Dark Roast Coffee
1 tsp Coconut Oil
Add it to the vita mix and BLEND it up!

> The fatty acids in coconut oil are a great to reduce inflammation in the body and it reflects through the skin!
Also, adding fats to your coffee allows a slower release of the caffeine in your body, so you don’t feel that coffee crash and you’re energy is fully sustainable! I can have my coffee in the morning and not need another or any “boost” throughout the rest of the day – it’s so delicious! Again, the more good fats you consume, the better your engine roars!
I shared my simple dairy free recipe online and I heard from so many gorgeous babes that they sip a VERY similar mug as I do!!

Now, another question I get about my Fatty Coffee is “how often do you drink coffee a day?”
My “meal 1” is 2 cups of black coffee with 1 tsp of coconut oil in it. I have a GREAT workout on just fat.
Then I go to the gym, come home and eat a full meal (normally chicken, spinach, avocado, and fermented veg) and then go into sipping on water with grapefruit or lemon essential oils in it!
