Girly Muscle Brownies

Well to be honest I wasn’t planning on another recipe going up today on the blog, but I was up early and I was bitten by the baking bug!

Brownies were dancing in my head, so that’s what went into and came out of my oven!

These are the kind of brownies you can eat after a workout, no guilt, perfect afternoon snack and a great after dinner treat! No added sugar in these brown babies, just natural goodness :)

I’m actually about to hit the gym for shoulders and abs and I just had a fluffy piece of brownie, perfect fuel for the workout ahead!

3 scoops vi shape shake mix (or protein powder of choice)
1 cup oat flour
5 packs stevia
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp sea salt
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 medium banana mashed
2 egg whites
1 whole egg

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together and bake for 25 min or until brown and fluffy :)

I’m going to pack these up and take them for a Starbucks work day today!!

Be Mine Brownies {High Protein, Wheat, Sugar & Dairy Free}

Happy Love Day!

To be honest I never celebrate valentines day, but I love it….

I love watching all the couples running around picking out gorgeous red roses and the best of the best dark chocolates and the bows…..ahhhh the bows. They are big and full and wrapped beautifully around all the flowers and chocolates. It’s cute!

Myself and my man will most likely end up at Starbucks and then see where the rest of VDay will take us. Maybe dinner with friends. So romantic!

I did however make you a special treat! One that will keep you and your lover on track with your health and they keep my thighs in check 😉

These healthy brownies are low glycemic, high protein and have the amount of good fats that will keep us full. I’m in love with them!

Be Mine Brownies:

1/2 cup oats
5 tbsp vanilla protein powder (vi shape shake mix)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp peanut butter
10 drops liquid stevia
1 small jar of pear baby food

To Make Be Mine Brownies:

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix all dry ingredients together.

In a medium bowl whisk together the wet. Add the wet to the dry and fold together.

Pour batter into a mini brownie pan and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove, cool, devour!

Lean Mean Brownies {Wheat Free, High Protein, Sugar Free}

Happy Tuesday, Doll!

How are ya??  I hope you’re having a grand morning!

My joe is being brewed which makes me more than happy!  I think I actually live for my morning coffee.  Mornings are the best part of my day because of coffee.  Is this strange??

I should get buzzed up by this joe and then instead of dragging my rear down to do sprints, I’ll skip down to do them.  Yes, you heard right….sprints.  Yesterday I actually put my Nike Free’s on a Treadmill and crank it up to 8 incline and 8 speed to do sprints for 30 seconds on, 60 seconds off for 14 minutes.  I nearly keeled over.

Sprinting came into my life after reading this article by Kim Dolan Leto.  She opens up about how her legs were frustration {I’m relating} until she started sprinting 2 times a week.  So I figured I have 2 weeks till my toes hit the sand in Miami and the Bahamas, so we’re sprinting.

Enough sweat talk, lets talk Sweets!

So I made brownies and garnished with nuts.

I feel like I do so many treats during the week and Treat Friday doesn’t seem so special anymore, but trust me when I tell you, treats are always special. Even on a Tuesday.

Lean Mean Brownies {wheat free, high protein, sugar free}


1 cup Oat Flour

3 tbsp Cocoa Powder

13 tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder {6 scoops Vi Shape Shake Mix}

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

1/4 tsp Sea Salt

1/4 cup Greek Yogurt

2 Egg Whites

1/2 cup Almond Milk

1/2 cup Zero Calorie Sweetener {Wholesome Sweeteners}

5 drops liquid stevia

*Trail Mix for garnish

To Make Lean Mean Brownies: Preheat oven to 350.

In a large mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients, except the sugar.

Mix the wet together in a separate bowl with the sugar and pour into the dry.  Combine well by folding together.

Pour into an 8×8 pan and jazz up with trail mix and peanuts.

Bake for 30 minutes.

I’ve eaten a lot of these yesterday.  They are high protein and very, very good!  It’s actually my first time baking with zero calorie sweetener like this one from Wholesome Sweeteners, of course I always rock Stevia, but for an actual granular I quite enjoy it!  I know I much prefer the taste of real sugar, but commmme’on we have thighs to keep in check around here 😉

Paleo Peanut Butter Brownies {Birthday Treats}

How are ya?

As I sit here another year older, another gray hair twinging out from my temple….I sip coffee and embrace the “1” that has ended up behind my “3” and go over everything I’m grateful for.  While going over my Gratitude List the thoughts of getting old, missing my prime for children, thinking I’m crazy for still loving Pop Music, Justin Timberlake and using words like “uber” and “Cray” when talking with my sister who is wrinkle free at 23 and I regain my focus on my list.

29 was the worst birthday of my life and I noticed that over the last 2 years I’ve grown so much and ACTUALLY really realized that when the people in your life that tell you “Age is only a number” or you’re “Only as Old as You Feel” are Friggin RIGHT!

As I stand in the mirror I still see that girl with endless amounts of worry and fear, but I also a woman who loves that fear and flows with it daily.  Its almost like I was meant to be child-less at this age even if I wasn’t thinking this was the case in my 20’s, “Old Mom…Me??  Never!” and now 31 is seriously just a number and this day is just to get together with the ones I love and eat until I’m merry and drink until I belt out “Bow WOW Wow, Yippee Yo… Yippe Yay!” which has happened while drunk at lunch at a family outing…..I’m full of class and keep it real over here.

Since my birthday has always been my FAV day because…

A.  Its all ME
B. I get to eat out
C. Treats FLOW
D. Its uber close to Valentines Day, which I love!!

Being Grain Free and Sugar Free for my Birthday and for Valentines Day I thought would be a bit difficult, but I made sure that I kept it happy and had a recipe to share with you that is Healthy, Fun and Grain Free!

Grain Free Peanut Butter Brownies {Black Bean Stevia Sweetened Brownies}

1 can Black Beans {rinsed and drained}

2 Eggs

1 Egg White

6 drops Vanilla Liquid Stevia {NuNaturals}

2 tbsp Almond Butter

1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

13 packs Powdered Stevia {NuNaturals}

2 tbsp Coconut Oil {melted}

3 tbsp Peanut Butter

To Make Grain Free Peanut Butter Brownies: Preheat oven to 350.

In a food processor mix all ingredients together, except the peanut butter and coconut oil.  Combine well.

Pulse in the melted coconut oil.

Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 cake pan and drop in the peanut butter while running a knife through the peanut butter and the batter.

Bake for 30 minutes.

These taste the raddest when CHILLED!!! I totally glass container these bad jane’s up and store them in the fridge before I pair them with some Chocolate Mousse Goat Yogurt.

I’m just happy that they are fudgy, good and just sweet enough for my skin to not hate me, but my taste buds to love me.

I’m heading for an early morning breakfast and coffee at Whole Foods, birthday style, then heading to a chiropractors appointment and then to Lululemon to pick out a super duper gift for myself!!!  Gotta love on my special day!!
