Feeling The Love and Sharing The Love
Posted on 22. Jul, 2010 by kris in Emotional Awareness, Raw Food, Relationships
Heyyyyyyy!!!
Happy Thursday! How is your day going?
I seem to be better now. Honestly I was having a struggle getting my rear in gear this morning with work and online stuff. I found myself “keeping busy” in other areas around the house avoiding my office!
So I scrubbed the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed the casa
I am finally now, sitting enjoying a protein salad and getting my blog on!
Protein Salad Giant for Lunch:

Raw Organic Kale (more protein than cooked chicken boobs!), 1 carrot, 1 celery, handful of sprouts, and 1/4 avocado.
Dressing:
1 tbsp evoo
1 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp hot dijon mustard
Mix well and drizzle!
This salad is making me feel better as I relax and eat it

Sharing The Love!
As you all know I am a HUGE lover of Gabrielle Bernstein
I have been reading and studying her newest book “Add More ~ing To Your Life“ love, love, LOVE it!
I read a lot of personal development, motivational and self help books and I have really resonated well with this one.
Tuesday was a rough day and there was some tension rolling around in my life. Wednesday morning when I woke up I got my tea, my book and sat outside on the patio. The chapter I was starting was on Negative thinking and a bit to do with Forgiveness. I reread this chapter 3 times soaking in everything it was saying. I really needed that on the other morning.
One quote that really shot out to me was “Worry is a prayer for chaos. When your mind is stuck in a pattern of chaos, this is all you’ll experience.” Do you believe that worrying brings on more negative things in your life?
I always knew if you were thinking dis-empowering thoughts, anger, fears, you would get it all back. Worry is such a strong emotion that I think we all have.
If we are in a constant state of worry (not eating right, work, finances, relationships) we will just get this recycled back to us.
How do you Stop This Negative Thinking or Worry Thinking?
These negative thoughts and worries are all Ego driven. Remember that
It is said in the book to wear an elastic band on your wrist. Be aware on when you have a negative thought, limiting belief, or “worry” and snap the elastic band. This is not meant as a way to abuse yourself, but it is away for you to stay constantly aware of what you are thinking about.
When you have a negative thought or limiting belief or crazy worry. Think about it, snap your elastic and be with the feeling for 90 seconds.
Carry a little journal with you wherever you go (I do this all the time!) and write out how your ego is stopping you. Gabrielle suggests writing out “I block myself when I listen to my ego say ______________”
“I block myself when I listen to my ego say I am not good enough to be a successful blogger”
What I will do after I write out my bad ego lingo is I write out an affirming sentence right next to it. ”I provide amazing value to my readers and AM a successful blogger”
See how I use the “AM” in that new affirmation? I am always affirming as if this is happening now. This will really boost the subconscious to believe what you are affirming to be true. This brings your new way of thinking to you very quickly!
Gabrielle also goes onto guiding you through a climbing process which represents you climbing above your ego and getting above your negative thoughts. Stand at the bottom of a ladder, a rock climbing wall or even your stair master. Go over in your head your limiting belief or negative self talk and decide to move on from that belief. Get climbing! When you climb you reach past your ego, the nasty words that you are thinking, feeling and saying to yourself.
Do this for 30 days and see if your thoughts, self talk and beliefs change :)
She has an amazing guided meditation on itunes where she walks you through releasing. I have tried a few and loved them all
A little more light hearted:
We went to the beach yesterday and Hudson loves Digging for his ball in the sand……he apparently also loves eating it!
Love you Hudsy!

How do you deal with Worry? Do you have a routine that you do to stop negative thoughts? Do you believe you hold yourself back with your thoughts and beliefs? I know I did until I became aware of what I was really thinking about!
To Your Glam Life,
xxoo

Hey Love – thanks so much for the award! You’re the best. I actually had someone else send it to me the other day and am going to use it for my Fun Facts Friday. I will most definitely be thank you for this gift as well. It does mean a lot to be recognized!
I am so glad you talked about this book. I follow her on Twitter, but don’t have her book. I may seriously be picking up a copy now. I do agree that worry brings additional negativity. I am the world’s worst worrier too. It’s something that I have really started to work on though since blogging. I am so inspired by your posts and they help me really take a look at my actions in a new way.
I love the idea of carrying around a journal. I need to do something to keep myself in better check. Hugs!

Thanks lovely! I love getting nominated for an award, it definitely helps make my day. <3
Negative thoughts (and positive) are SO incredibly powerful and if we let them, they will bring us down. I totally believe that if we just dwell on the bad and continuously worry then what we fear will happen.. will happen. Remaining positive and optimistic is what allows one to achieve their dreams and become the best possible "you".
I need to buy that book!

I’ve never had kale not cooked. I will have to give it a try! Thanks for the rec on the book. I’ll definitely give it a look.
One of my big ways to stop negative chatter in my head is to “fake it till I make it”. I verbally say out loud that I’m happy or that the situation is good. I tell myself that so much that I eventually believe myself. I’m an amazingly persuasive person apparently!

Worry=prayer. Without prayer, I would be the ULTIMATE worry-wart. I am very anxious, especially during the schoolyear! STRESS.

I’ll have to remember to check that book out. I’m really interested in positivity and self improvement books and the like as well, and I find that they really DO help. I can definitely be a worrier but talking it out with someone helps as they can put things into perspective and downplay the irrational beliefs I can build up. Also just recognizing the thoughts and forcing myself to turn them around, although not always as easy, is definitely doable and I’ve been getting better at it the more I try and with the more I read about the benefits of positive thinking!

Aw thanks! And Hudsy, you’re adorable!
I deal with worry with this verse, “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” [Matthew 6:27]
Whether you are Christian or not, this holds true for everyone. Instead of worrying, I prepare. If I’m worried about what I don’t know, I go learn. If I’m worried that I might lose my job, I job search. I am still guilty of learning, but I’m getting there.
